Do the recommended problems to pass this class!!! Pay attention and attend class as he tells you what is on the test - half of what is in the book is not. Always lets out early, but still teaches until you understand. Interesting, knowledgeable, straight-forward guy. If you do the problems and pay attention in class you will pass.

If you do the homework you are guaranteed to pass the class! The homework problems are exactly like the open ended problems on the exam, he doesn't even change the names from the homework problems just the numbers. Vora is a pretty funny guy if you like sarcasm, he is old and sassy but very nice. Go to his office hours before the exams!!

Professor Vora doesn't help his students. He makes them feel worthless and like they aren't good enough by saying rude things back to them. He does things very unfairly and if you ask him something he will deduct a percentage of your grade. Professors are suppose to help you and encourage you not bring you down and make you like you can't do it.

He gives 2 midterms and 1 final that are relatively easy and focus exclusively on materials discussed and highlighted in class. Lectures are very educational, easy to understand, and also funny. He keeps the class updated on recent stock market and other financial events. He doesn't grade participation but strongly encourages it.

One of the best professors i have ever had. It was my first finance class and he made it so interesting and clear that i was very comfortable and understood the material. I would def recommend him to anyone i know!!

An awesome professor. He is helpful and clear. Not the easiest. In fact, the core finance professors (cusatis,oranee,and vora)were all very strong good.

Has potential to be easy, but don't be fooled. He knows the material inside and out. Has great examples to use. Can be funny. Fairly clear on presentations. However, he almost never reviews a problem and leaves it up to you to figure out on the homework. But if you don't understand, just ask. He is MORE THAN WILLING to help!!!

Excellent professor and a very good course. Class notes and end of chapter problems are your best bet along with the Financial Calc. Dr Vora has a somewhat humorous way to teach this otherwise very difficult course. Relates class concepts to the real world. Exams are easy if you understood the concepts as you went.

Comment:

Very fast at answering emails. Funny while not trying to be. Class material seemed a little slow, but it was covered well. He notices if you attend class. Take some initiative and he is very easy. Study the homework and you should have no problem in this class. Make sure your grammar is correct while writing papers. Overall, a great professor.

Go to class, take good notes, and study his end of chapter problems and you will do fine in the class. Also, the finance calculator is a must. Tip: Write down what buttons to press in each problem then memorize before tests and you will get easy A. He also gives 'cheat sheets' which are good.
