I only had her for lab but she can be extremely condescending if you don't understand the topic and her handwriting is practically illegible. It's basically just scribbles. I am going to continue to steer clear of her.

Professor Bell is a great professor. She is willing to help if you are willing to put in the work. Class is not very difficult if you attend class regularly and complete practice problems from the textbook. You will definitely learn a lot in this class.

Tough but I learned a lot. She will never just give you the answers to homework if you go to her office and ask, rather she tries to lead you to it. Can be frustrating at times but she really knows her stuff inside and out. Gives great note packets that you fill in during class.

Bell is a very smart woman and is very passionate about Chemistry, so, because of this, I believe she struggles to teach students through her lecture classes because she is quite fast. Her lectures are basically her explaining as she writes on a packet.

She is so boring! Lectures are unclear and her writing is very difficult to read. She is vague and not very helpful when asking questions and she grades very hard on tests. I recommend going for tutoring or group study sessions and using the book to pass. I would avoid taking chemistry with this professor.

IF YOU CAN AVOID TAKING CHEM WITH PROFESSOR BELL. SHE IS A NICE LADY BUT LECTURES WILL BORE YOU TO DEATH AND HER TEST ARE EXTREMELY HARD. I WAS LOST MOST OF THE TIME. VERY FAST PACE, I PUT MY ALL INTO THIS CLASS.

Professor Bell was a hard professor. However, if you really want to do well, you have to go into her office hours. However, she will not give you the answer. A lot of people complained about how the class was hard, but you really have to do the reading everyday, see the tutors, and do extra practice problems from the back of the book.

To be blunt, tests were very difficult for me, and her notes did not help. I had to hire a $1000 tutor and managed to get from an F to a C. Do not skip her classes because what's on her notes are on the tests, but use the book and google in order to understand the material. Also, attend her office hours!!! Good luck.

Professor Bell is a tough professor. She makes you work for your grade. However, it is possible to do well. Come to her office hours every week and see the tutors, you will notice a big difference in your understanding of the material.

Only take Bell if you're willing to do extensive group work. She's close to retirement and I suspect wants to do as little work as possible. Why, I wonder, do I pay a 40K tuition for small class sizes and still have to do almost entirely group work? So Dr. Bell has less papers to grade (i.e. less work to do). Monotonous lectures. I'd pass on her.

Bell is too intelligent for her students' good. She seems to have a difficult time communicating with the average intro chem student. That being said, lectures are almost worthless. Despite this fact, attendance is mandatory and counts toward your grade. I'm glad to have a chem background in my undergrad degree, but is it worth a C+?

the most organized and efficient teacher I've seen since highschool. with that said .. this class KILLED ME, chem is not my thing. For you non chem majors DONT TAKE CHEM because like most science professors shes condescending and sarcastic towards non chem majors even though she knows you try hard.

HORRIBLE professor. All over the place in lecture... NO ONE can read her "writing", and it is hard to make out what she is saying most of the time because of the way she speaks, it is very fast and unclear. Very difficult to get help, can be quite condescending and impatient. Advice? Take Chemistry ELSEWHERE.

Definately knows tons about medical field. Tells you exactly what she's gonna test you on. She's just not huggy-feely, but very nice and great 1 on 1.
