Comment:

Prof. Grocer seems like a standard first-year college professor. Though she can be intimidating to some, she can give good advice once you get on her page. You may get lost early, but she has her own way of organizing things in a way that does not make sense at first. Tons of assignments/ not for everyone / gotta get in the grove with her.

Priscilla teaches you program and logic. SQL was the hardest class I have taken with her and got an A+. This is not a class where you can slack off. Homework is 80 percent of your grade. She doesn't grade it till you get everything right on it. This is so she knows you understand the material. She will help out as much as you need.

Unsatisfactory performance from a so-called 'professional'. Priscilla needs to be re-evaluated by her employers, because she might have been a moderately decent professor in 1990, but in this day & age you aren't getting that professor. You are getting the one who doesn't care, and doesn't teach well. Take my advice, take CIS classes ELSEWHERE.

Don't walk into class optimistic. She is difficult. You ONLY pass this class if you have prior knowledge of the material. She does not explain the assignments, talks down to you, won't grade hw until %100 correct or else it's inc. Midterm grades? You won't get one. Last week of class she tells you you're failing. Her Final is a condensed semester.

She seems like a nice person but the workload is insane. I have had my share of tough classes but none more stressful and time consuming then her class. I would leave class having no idea what I just learned because she moves through material way too quickly, go home and try to finish 5 assignments that I had no idea how to complete.

priscilla grocer is not really a teacher in the typical sense. She provides the material online and its go at your own pace. She can be fairly hard for people who are unmotivated or unwilling to learn. It is a hard class and you work a lot. If you put the time in you learn everything you put in. This not to say she is a good teacher though.

Took her CIS120 class online. Very easy class, easy to follow if you actually listen to her lectures. Constantly changing topics/programming languages which kept it interesting. Final was pretty long but nothing to hard.

I really don't understand why people say she isn't a good professor. She overloads you with homework, that much I understand, but she gives you a week after the date posted to do it. Her office hours are great and she really knows what she's talking about and makes programming something anyone could learn. She is not easy but she is excellent.

Goes into a lot of detail with the basics, not very in-depth, a lot of "busy" work - easy assignments but somewhat repetative, a little slow-paced for me, but extremely helpful and understanding, lenient, and very knowledgeable. This woman is incredibly unorganized. EXTREMELY RUDE! She loses all your work, and blames it on you!! I am a computer science major and she has made me HATE my major. On many occasions I asked for help, she will stand you up and tell you that you are wasting HER time! This woman is horrible and I hope she resigns. She should find a cliff and jump!
