He was an amazing professor. He was down to earth,and very understanding. Best professor I have ever had. Once you learn the subject matter he is very strict on it and will penalize you for any mistakes that should definitely not be made. He allows you to rewrite papers that you received low grades on and will help you raise your final grade.

Great Professor. Clear instructions, interesting material and class discussion. quizzes weekly, if you did the reading, you will have no problem. Papers are scrutinized, and you will learn alot about writing a good paper if you take his advice. I feel very well prepared to go on and write my college papers now that I know what is expected.

Amazing prof, highly recommend him. Knows his material & presents it in an interesting way. Provides invaluable info & lets you know exactly what he expects. Prof's instruction has been invaluable. Assigned readings show that he is pro women's rights & is a published author on the injustice of slavery. Never pushed his personal views, unlike many profs. Must read, easy quiz if u read. 3 papers w/ research/parenthetical documentation. Great emailer/works w/you if needed. I really enjoyed his class.

He is an amazing teacher. I have him for 151 now. He challenges you to think. His class was extremely easy (for me)and focused mostly on grammar and different types of essays. Grading wasn't too harsh if your grammar was good. Tests were easy and often had extra credit. All you have to do is come to class and you will pass.

He is by no means easy..he loves what he does & encourages his students to become better writers & students. I have read nasty comments about him & believe me they are far from the truth. One implied he is a male chauvinist...far from it! The readings he assigned were diverse and empowering. He's a wonderful professor!

The worst. He does not teach effectively. Insulting and unfair is just the beginning. To say his is an inspiration is a disgrace. He brought two women to tears while class was in session. He than told them they were waisting his time and their work was a disgrace. While others who were unprepared and made no attempt at the work faired better.

This was my third time in Prof. Decataldo's class which truly was the best of all. Eng 151 is about using your mind to research and analyze literary texts, where, this class was about using your heart,analyzing yourself, and the human condition. I highly recommend taking this class. Prof. D is inspiring both as a teacher and a human being.

After two semesters of Prof deCataldo's English class,I am a more confident and prepared student.He makes me proud to say that I am an Education major. I learned so much from his 111 class,and found a new appreciation for literature in 151.He is a fair and dedicated teacher,and I feel fortunate to have taken his classes.A+ Not Boring!

This prof gets an A in my book. He is so kind and personable and adds a whole new meaning to the term literature. Absolutely NOT boring.. are you serious? It's not polite to give excuses for yourself. I never thought my life could be enriched from taking an english class, and i thank him for being an awesome teacher.
