Comment:

I love history and he was a good teacher, the class was easy for anyone who is interested in history and the Civil war and WW2. He is one of the best history teachers I have had, from the time I was a kid to College grad.

I just finished his class (American History since 1877), and Quentin Taylor is just really boring in general so I wouldn't recommend him. The good thing about the class was that attendance was not mandatory and as long as you turn in all the assignments it is a pretty easy A.

Dr Taylor is an amazing human being and an even better professor. His humor goes unnoticed here in hickville America but he is absolutely hilarious in a way that you learn. His writing credits speak for themselves and I personally think that we need more professors like him.

Comment:

Dr. Taylor is a great lecturer and he is pretty funny. This course requires a weekly take home exam, it is required to read the book cover to cover, no real feedback on discussion but the class great. I learned, laughed and worked hard.

He is an alright professor, however his grading scale is not the usual 90-100 A 80-89 B 70-79 C and so on, instead it is 93+ A 83+B 73+C and so on, which sucks if you check back each week and per say you worked hard to get a 90 in the class, thinking you have an A, and then he send the message out about the grading scale and you have a B.

Stay on top of your work! If you do the assignments, there's no reason you shouldn't get an A. 16 week, all online, pre civil war history- 16 300-word discussions over a specific topic and 15 50 question multiple choice quizzes, 1 each week. Accepts late work, easy grader on the discussions. Nothing on campus.

Dr. Taylor's Govt. class is pretty simple. There are weekly Chapter quizzes that you take home, and you can use the book to find the answers. His class can be interesting if you like history and political science, it's one of those classes where you're into it or not. The one thing that was annoying was that he never answered his emails.

Dr. Taylor's onling History to 1877 was a very good, easy class. Take the quiz while you read the chapter and kill 2 birds with one stone. The weekly discussions were fairly easy. Just make sure you reach the 200 word minimum. I highly recommend Dr. Taylor.

He is funny, but very boring. I dread this class every day because it just drags on and on. He makes it fairly easy and is not harsh on grading, he realizes it's a basic class. I still wouldn't take his class again just for how boring he is, I can't pay attention unless he's making a joke.

Took this online. History is by far my LEAST favorite subject. I dreaded this class. But Dr. Taylor made the class very easy to get through and I actually learned a lot. Quite a bit of writing (5 essays and weekly discussions) plus weekly quizzes, but no problem if you keep up with it. Dr. Taylor is a great online teacher who communicates well!

I took his summer online history since 1877 class. The only grades we had was a dicussion for each chapter and 8 essays. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. He is very laid back and take its easy on grading the papers. Im definitely not the best writer and I got finished with an A in the class. Great Teacher!

Dr. Taylor's online class was great! Minimum group discussions. Low pressure and a laid-back teacher! No final exam. A class primarily of reading and answering questions. Excellent class! I actually enjoyed learned History!

He is a good professor, lots of homework, you can not get behind in this class or it is hard to catch up. He gives a take home test every week. And his exams are essay questions.
