Frustrating teacher. His lessons always consisted of lectures and videos, so you had to do the notes by yourself at home. Grading was unbelievably ridiculous; I've taken religion classes at Lewis before, and compared to learning with this man, I did better. I hope this teacher gets replaced with someone more competent.

Catholic Church sounded easy until I got a 40% on the midterm. When asked about it, he said he couldn't offer me help, it was my fault, and since my answers were in my words (not verbatim what he spoke from his ancient tattered notes) my answers were all wrong. No book and he did no notes in class. Videos sucked too. Avoid this man like the plague.

Avoid taking any classes with Br. Ray. The classes are not engaging at all; in fact, many involve long, out-of-date videos. He expects memorization rather than college level thinking, meaning even putting things in your own words is wrong. Instead of politely correcting mistakes, he will patronize you about what you did wrong.

brother Ray was my professor for my " The Message of Jesus" class. Brother Ray was the best professor I've ever had during my academic career. He was extremely knowledgeable of the subject matter. It was was a tough class but Brother Ray was always fair and professional. His lectures were so riveting, you felt like you were back back in time.

I took his Catholic Church class and he wasn't that bad of a teacher. Basically, if you don't mind watching a video every single time you meet for class and then survive his lecture (which require ZERO participation...actually I don't even know how my classmates voices sound like.) you can easily pass the class. Easy quizzes too, just memorizing.

Took his Catholic Church. I myself am Catholic so I thought it'd be easy. Totally wrong. He's an elder and stubborn on his views. He's right and that's all there is to it. I did poorly in a class based off a religion I've been practicing for 22 years-I even teach CCD myself. Never asks for student input. Keeps you entire class time. Avoid always.

I took Brother Ray for The Catholic Church. His notes are identical to the questions on his quizzes. You watch a lot of movies. The class is super easy except for his midterm. You have to make sure you write down exactly what he's looking for. Make sure you pay attention in class, and write everything down he says. P.S. he hates eaters in his class

Took the Catholic Church course. He taught his own desires of what the church should be, not what it is. Misled many individuals into believing untrue statements regarding the Catholic Church. If you know a lot already, you'll fail this class for putting down the correct answers that aren't his.
