Worst teacher ever. Class average on exams is below failing. Half the stuff on the exams is not discussed in class. BEWARE OF THIS TEACHER.

The class is pretty hard, and his teaching style doesn't help. His powerpoints are filled with pictures only, so if you miss class your are out of luck. Most of his lectures consist of drawing pictures, so your left writing down everything he says. There is no textbook, which would be nice to reference. Only good thing is that there is a 10% curve.

This class is rough. His slides are filled with absolutely nothing important, you must write down everything said, his quizzes are decent, but his tests are worded so weird that info you thought you knew is lost in the sauce. There's no book, but a book would be nice when you don't understand and there's no GA or SI, so you're on your own.

Lectures are long and boring. His powerpoints are useless so you have to write down everything he says and writes on the board. Quizzes and tests are difficult; the class averages were in-between 40-60%. Labs are difficult as well and he isn't clear when you ask for help. Only good things were no textbook and the grading scale is curved

I personally enjoyed him, maybe it's my appreciation for dry humor and my age, but I heard most of my classmates (mostly freshman) complain about him a lot. To pass his class, you must show up, take notes, and not overthink concepts. There is no book, and he has a grading scale which makes lower percentages a higher grade. Overall pretty good.

Mower is awesome. No book, so that means you better show up to class every time. Tests go over everything, there are 3 plus the final. One or two quizzes are in between each test, but don't worry, they're trivial. If you pay attention in class, and have an interest in the subject, the class is easy.

Very tough class. You have to make sure and take very good notes! Chances are, that concept you didn't write down will be on the test. Has a British accent and tells very corny jokes.

This is a hard class and exams will be challenging. Just watch out for his meter stick and you can be sure that any concept gone over more than once will be on the exam as well as the last subject right before a test (aka that one concept you daydreamed through on Friday 5 minutes before class ended).Don't laugh at his jokes, it only encourages him

He's British and has a dry sense of humor, which is fun, but other than that it is difficult. He has the power points on Blackboard, but it's only pictures. He doesn't write a lot of stuff one the board, once again, only pictures. So you have to write down everything he says. Class can get kinda boring, but he is enthusiastic.

He's British, and the class has no book, which are big pluses. He makes his powerpoints available to students; but make sure you take notes when he uses the whiteboard. His tests don't have any trick questions and are straightforward. His lectures can be boring, but it's a good class.

This course is hard, but that is an opinion based on not showing up very often. He is very into Meteorology, but the lectures are long and boring. Several quizzes, labs, and 4 exams. You have to go to class or you will be lost. He puts powerpoints on Bb, but they don't cover everything. No textbook!

Lectures are kind of boring, especially when you have it two hours at a time twice a week. You have about 10 quizzes& 4 tests during the semester and they are your only grades. They are pretty challenging but he has a really nice grading scale so you can actually get a pretty good grade in there even if you think you're struggling. Very dry humor

Great professor! He makes sure that you understand the material. He doesn't make you buy a book, which saves money. He's a Brit, so he's interesting to listen to. You really really really should show up for class though because there is no book so all your studying is done by notes. Overall, a great prof.

Awful class. All he does is draw pictures and diagrams on the board. The notes are not structured whatsoever. He thinks he's funny...but he's not. Only take this course if you have to. And if you do be prepared to work really hard for a grade

Really nice guy!! I enjoy him but his class is pretty challenging. His tests are pretty hard and it's hard to follow his lectures sometimes, or maybe it's because the annoying old man in class who talks and asks a question every two minutes and gets him off topic!!! anyways, good guy but a hard class!

Loves math, loves to show how math relates to meteorology. So funny, keeps you awake. He expects a great deal from his students, higher standards but a nicely slided grading scale.

It's Mr. Bean meets CMU Meteorology students! He's great. He's hard, but the stuff he teaches isn't exactly easy. He's fun though and will make you laugh and help the time fly by.
