Comment:

Radhakrishnan Aiyar was the best mathematics professor I have ever had. Class was very straightforward. The course is very easy if you're not just some idiot who doesn't take college seriously. I earned an A-. I hope Professor Aiyar is enjoying his retirement. Fall 2006 was his last semester at SFSU.

Comment:

He has the WORSE accent ever. Sometimes, i couldn't understand what he was talking about. He knows his stuff, but he goes over examples so fast, you can't copy it all down. Not very helpful either. Most of the time, you would have to learn on your own. The only pro about this class is that the practice tests are very similar to the actual test.

You're basically paying this class to learn on your own. This teacher has a thick accent and teaches so fast that you have to rely on your book for information. 2-3 long homework/2 quiz weekly and 3 test. The only way I passed this class was that the pretest he gives out is basically the same as the test, but still it was hard.

i loved his class!! it was actually the only class i've been to the most this semester and he doesn't even take attendance! He teaches the material really well and I could actually understand it. He makes stats very interesting. Plus, the pre-tests are just like the actual tests & plus you can use your book! Very great prof & class.

Difficult to understand sometimes because of the accent. He doesn't explain much, so you have to rely on the book a lot. One sometimes two chapters of homework due each week, and same with quizzes. Three tests, medium hard. No partial credit on hw or tests. Don't take him unless you have to.

Radhakrishnan Aiyar is the best mathematics professor I have ever been blessed with! He is a highly knowledgeable man, very efficient, and doesn't ask much other than that you make an effort on your part. He's willing to help if you have any questions. His accent is not difficult to understand. Great!! Take his class, you won't regret it.

Worst math teacher ever. Thick accent. Talks fast. Does NOT teach. He just stands up there and talks jibberish to himself and figures out the problem on his own then expects you to understand what the heck he's talking about. Does NOT give partial credit. all or nothing. Too much homework. Weekly quizzes. DO NOT take him!!

HARD! thick accent and fast speaker= troublesome. confusing class. he's nice and all, but it's just so hard to understand him. i just stopped going to class b/c it was too late to drp or cr/no cr. i took this same class with vera klimkovsky or something and passed. SO MUCH EASIER.

You may not understand what he's saying in class, but thats okay! Just TAKE GOOD NOTES! Very easy class if you study your class notes and get familiar w/ the book. If you still dont understand the material, visit him during off hrs. I personally needed help all the time and I came to his off hrs often. I passed with an A.

he kinda goes fast when teaching and has an accent so it's sort of hard to understand him but his class is very easy and he doesn't give finals or midterms! only tests and quizzes! :) he is willing to help you at any time and is always avaliable at office hours. take his stats class!!

He is not the easy. His writing is messy. His accent makes it hard for people to understand. Quiz every week and 3 midterms. The topics are hard to understand and he does not make it easy for people to learn. According to him we complicate our lives with this but any way i say if your up for the challenge take him if not take another teacher.

He is not hard at all, but if your having trouble he'll explain everything to you. He does have an accent, but its not so bad that you cant understand. He lets you use books on the tests and quizzes. You turn in 2 hmwk assignments a week. Plus he gives you a lot of notes to take. He's really good, and understanding.

THIS CLASS WAS SOOOO HARD BECAUSE OF THE WAY THIS TEACHER WAS TEACHING IT. I COULDN'T EVEN UNDERSTAND A WORD HE WAS SAYING AND EVERYTIME I ENTERED THE CLASSROOM HE GAVE ME "THE LOOK..." I RECOMMEND ALL STUDENTS NOT TO TAKE ANY COURSE WITH HIM WHATSOEVER, JUST TO SAVE YOURSELF FROM FAILING HIS CLASS.
