Comment:

She genuinely cares about learning and discussion, and she is very funny and tries to get to know the students. However the expectations for the class are unclear. If you need structure, stay away. She struggled to facilitate discussions but encouraged talking. She was flexible and made both the midterm and final take home when the class asked.

The best way to describe her teaching style is unorganized. She's a nice person but her tests are extremely difficult and made me hate going to class

she's a nice person but its really hard to get an A in the class since 70 percent of your grade is based on 3 tests. I learned more from the online homework than i did from going to class. Also, she reads from the slides so its best if you have the powerpoint up on your laptop .

Comment:

Fazeli is a very kind person, nevertheless she needs to improve in her teaching skills. Her lectures are not clear at all and that is due to her reading off her PowerPoints, which is pretty much copied and pasted off of the textbook. Also her exams are really heavy and the study guides she hands out are very brutal. Overall many students struggled.

Comment:

She taught my capstone, and almost made me hate my own major. Is arguably one of the most unorganized, unprofessional, and inconsistent profs. Her thick accent makes everything impossible to understand and she constantly e-mails the night before changing her expectations/deadlines. She emailed me at 11pm asking me to present the next morning.

She's a very helpful and engaging teacher. She doesnt give alot of hw but you do have to keep track of the online assignments because you can easily forget about them. The only way you can get a bad grade in her class is if you don't pay attention.

I enjoyed Professor Fazeli's class this semester. Although she is hard to understand at times, she makes up for it with a great spirit and a jovial presence. She is always willing to help and will organize study sessions prior to the tests. She truly cares about her students and values the acquisition of individual knowledge over grades.

She is very helpful in her office hours, but in the classroom her style of instruction often bored me out of my mind. Advice: if considering, drop by her class and sit for 1 or 2 sessions and you'll see what I mean. I ended up having to visit her privately a lot and the economic tutor I had was a godsend. Nice person though, tests are easy-ish.

Amazing teacher! I only had her for five weeks and I COMPLTELEY understood her after almost 3 days so i don't buy the "Impossible to understand". She made me understand Macroeconomics in only a month, so I'd say she's pretty good! she is also cares about her students so much!! I miss having her as a teacher!

Fabulous professor! Very helpful & cares about her students. Come on people... her accent, are you kidding me, she's easy to understand. Hello people... CA is diverse, learn accents. Geesh!! She is great, knowledgable, & I would take another class from her.

Fazeli is amazing. She is so open to helping all of her students (even those that try to take advantage of her kindness). Fazeli is one of those teachers that loves what she does and enjoys teaching the students. Also, her tests are pretty easy. Lastly, do not fall back on the reading, she gives alot in the beginning but calms down later on.

aweful teacher. first of all, its close to impossible to understand her and then she will give one set of facts one day and the next will completly discredit everything that was said the day before.... I dreaded going to her class every day.
