His class is not super hard since the same concept gets repeated throughout the semester. Make sure you understand the material in the first three weeks for 100%. He posts previous quizes and test in the beginning of the semester for you. I guess he changed his teaching style, but all quizes and test will be announced. All assignments are group

Comment:
The professor clearly knows his stuff inside out. However he doesnt really help even if you ask. Boring class, no slides, useless book. Just keeps on chatting about how he structured the course and how he should be given more credit. Gives a surprise quiz every couple of weeks. Has a habit of skipping classes and blaming the result on students.

He is very intelligent and knows stats inside and out. However he is almost too smart, he cannot convey clearly what his message is. His homework and project is all group work (not too bad). The quizzes are open note and open book, so it isnt too bad.

Prof Velu teaches pretty well, although it can be tough to follow his logic at times. The tests and quizzes are not too hard, and he allows us to use a formula/notes sheet on the tests. The homework is fairly light, and not very tough. The biggest negative to him and the class is that his accent often makes it difficult to understand him.
