This professor is terrible. You don't learn anything beneficial towards a computer science degree. He wastes your time. He shows up ten minutes late to class regularly. I highly recommend avoiding any of his classes if possible.

He is nice and a wise man. He just gives lots of assignments to do. And sometimes the time for the due date is not enough. But you will learn so many new things! He also gives review before tests. The final is just to give a presentation for two minutes which is awesome!

He Never Took attendance, he didn't cover any of the test material in any lecture, The only time you'll use the book is in lab, and Nothing of what he lectures about will be on any test. the only time you have to go to class is the day breaks start. he gives out extra credit to students who are there.

This is the most ridiculous professor ever. Doesn't know how to correctly grade tests. He has a business student grade his programming assignments sometimes. I once asked him a programming question about using a break function in c++ and he had never heard of it. How long has this guy been teaching again,20+ yr? He has lost all skill at programming

Very good class and teacher. Explains things well and uses Powerpoint. Be sure to study these Powerpoint slides to prepare for the tests. Almost all the questions are covered there. Some of the labs take a long time, but are good practice at programming.

This was an excellent class. I especially liked the way he used PowerPoint to do the lectures. Everything on the tests is either on those or in the end of chapter exercises. If you come to class and study hard you will do very well in this class. He was very supportive of me when I had trouble. One of my favorite classes and best teachers.

Comment:

Good class and very good teacher. If you read the material and do all the assignments and labs you cannot help doing well in the class. I was surprised how much there was to learn about Office - especially Excel. The lab book is time consuming - but allows you to work at your own pace. Good Class.

Laughs at his own jokes because nobody else will. Has "tenure" but refuses to show any understanding about the material. I have to agree with the appendix guy. He serves no use while he's here, and you won't miss him after he's gone. Good guy, BAD TEACHER, needs to retire.

Does not seem to have kept up to date with the languages that he uses to teach. His source code that we are suppose to use to write C++ programs in is C and doesn't compile or requires a lot of work to fit with the assignment. I usually just start from scratch rather than was time. He also doesn't approve of reading ahead in the textbook.

Doesn't seem to keep up to date with current events and changes in the field he is teaching. Seems to go off on tangents about material not related to the class or field. Also, if he can't get the classroom tech(ie projector) to work, then chances are he doesn't have a plan B for teaching so class will be over.

States blatant lies as facts in class. Likes the sound of his own voice. Absolutely no help. If you go to him for help, he will dance around the issues and serve no purpose. He's a computer science teacher, in his C++ (the only language he teaches) class, his handouts with given code don't compile. Ultimately he's easy, but you won't learn a thing.
