Interesting! He kept my attention despite the class being at 6:30p. He doesnt use a textbook. Write down everything he puts up on the board and definitely study. He will hint to important things that will be on the tests. Go to see and read the plays. Class is not mandatory but it helps your grade in the end. Got an A!

Typical theatre prof. Do not take him, makes tests impossible. If you have 89.4 you get a B, not an A. Sarcastic and disrespects students.

Super boring to have on tuesday and thursday nights at 6:30-7:45. Its more like a history class of theatre than anything. he's a sweet old man but sometimes you just dont know whats going to be on the tests. Go to the plays to take the quizzes, the make up assignment for a quiz is HARD so dont miss them!

Take notes. GO to class. Read the material if you haven't before, and if you have already you shouldn't need to. Class was seriously cake, I made a C on just one quiz that didn't matter, everything else A's. protip: Do not give up on tests and leave to be over with it. Stay for a while, he'll come to your seat and tell you the answers practically.

Well, I thought he was a neat eccentric guy, but he had a temper. He called one of my brightest and nicest friends a damned idiot for asking questions, and he told me I didn't deserve to make-up a test even with an excused absence. If you like butting heads with senility then you may find the class interesting. Definately a typical lib. arts guy.

Wow, how do you even discribe Dr. Ralph Miller? He is a bit on the excentric side, definitely a liberal arts teacher, but class isn't too hard, attendance is a MUST and if you sit on the edge during exams and look like you have no idea how to answer them, he'll tell you the answers!

Memorize the notes for tests and you will do fine. Know the people who sit near you and they will sign you in because attendance is mandatory! Go to the plays because the quizzes are easy 100 if you just attend the play. I never read the plays assigned just did spark notes and I was fine. Overall I kind of liked it and I got an A

BORING CLASS!! The 6:30 PM time is terrible due to the fact that attendance is 10% of your grade. The tests are very hard. About 95 questions mainly fill in the blank. I would recommend switching to a different professor if you are trying to slide by with this elective.

Attendence is 10% of your grade. The tests are never shorter than like 95 questions. Not the "easy A" you might expect, but you can get it if you try hard enough. I kind of liked this class, but the 6:30 PM time is a killer.

Ralph is crazy! Take the notes and you'll do fine. He has ridiculously cumulative exams. Go to the plays and take the quizzes. The makeup assignment aren't worth it. Get to know the people around you - they can sign you in. His tests aren't too bad. I got a B. I could've easily gotten an A if I applied myself.

This guy is absolutely in LOVE with Theatre, and I don't mean that in a good way...Don't miss any class...it's a huge part of your grade. The exams are pretty easy but long, and you have to answer exactly what he wants you to. Lots of fill in the blank...Also, he can be very rude. Don't say anything he objects to or prepare to be belittled...

I loved his lessons! He added great life lessons to them. He's amazing and even helps people on tests. Go to class and take the notes. Go see the plays. He gives extra credit. Take advantage of what he provides you but don't take advantage of him. A few students would show up early and he even carries on convo before class! He's pretty much awesome

It was an alright class. Kinda boring sometimes. It was at 6:30PM i fell asleep from time to time. Get to know the person sitting next to you and ask them to sign your name on the attendance list when your not gonna be there :) test arent to bad, write down whatever he has up. sit on the end of a row and he'll give you test answers as he waks by

Dr. Miller is great. He didn't test on anything that wasn't on the projector, and there wasn't a textbook to buy. I thought he was hilarious and very fair. If the class hadn't been at 6:30 I would have loved it. As it was, I enjoyed it thoroughly.

This class was horrible. Anything he goes over that is not on the projector is not on the test. Needless to say the class is boring and if attendance wasn't figured as part of my grade i would have NEVER gone to class.

My name is Bucky Heard and Dr. Miller was my first acting professor at Auburn in 1988, and his guidance and instruction is why I am still in the business as a working performer today. He is creative, instructive, and an asset to the theatre department at Auburn! Thanks Dr. Miller.......you are the best!

this class was not bad, or really hard, but i did find his willingness to help somewhat challenging. i had this class at 6:30 at night and i had a meeting during class one night and we had a quiz. it was a university excused absence and he would not let me take the quiz. i had to write a 3 page paper. i made a B overall with little studying require

Engaging and enlightening. I enjoyed some lectures, was bored to death by others, but overall it was a good class. It is an easy A if you study and have a knack for remembering MINUTE details. This man is all about the details. Also, don't take this class a 6:30 at night. I can imagine that it would be just as easy under another teacher.
