I had him for Internet Apps. Great teacher, class is fairly tough if you don't have any background knowledge in HTML and website design. Projects are a lot of fun, strictly coding...not allowed to use dreamweaver, but he explains everything very thoroughly and offers a lot of helpful resources on his website.

Reads from the slides, so class is a waste. He does occasionally give a few test questions to those who attend. To study for tests, just read slides and go to the websites he gives. Pretty easy stuff.

This class is much harder than it should be. He makes us validate websites which is really annoying. He also talks down to students if you ask too many questions. Assignments are pretty easy, but his grading scale is ridiculously hard. If you get below a 93, you get a B. 92.9=B. Thats insane.

Nice guy. Will send you the PowerPoint presentations before class so you really don't have to go. You can use one sheet of notes for each of the 3 tests. Read the book and learn key terms. Lab assignments are long and mindless. VERY easy to get a B, a little harder to get an A.

*OPEN BOOK EXAMS* He needs to work on teaching more Access & writing less riddles(you'll see). Do the xtra credit, 1st 2 are easy! 4/5 assgmnts are using Access and he spends no time teaching it, be prepared to teach yourself. Doesn't know **** about computers funny to hear him explain stuff.

good teacher. do not buy book, it's useless. take notes from class; you'llbe fine. tests are open note and not very difficult. projects are fun, if time consuming. instructions on assignments/tests not always clear. i learned a lot about web pages from this guy.

I took Phillips for the lecture part of the course. He was very clear during his lectures and the exams were easy. He allows one page of notes for the tests and there is usually a big curve so it's hard to fail. He always gives tips on how to improve your test scores and seems willing to help.

DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE his TESTS. He will act like they should be no problem, when in fact they are very difficult! He will allow you to use notes/book on the test, but I couldn't imagine taking one of his tests without them! He gives out multiple extra credit assignments. NOTE: Do not ****him off!
