Rama Olson has got to be one of the best math teachers I've ever had. I'll admit his class was like a boot camp for math students, but he did everything he promised. That promise was to break our fear of tests, and make sure we did well. It's true, you have to pass every test with a 90% or better, but now I get nothing less than an A on any test

DO NOT TAKE. Class seems like it will be easy because there is no homework and you're book contains all the answers but you're grade is made up of ALL tests. Which are HARD. He is good at Math and students will learn if they pay attention and keep up with book exercises. Has a policy on Tests that if you score below 90 you take tests again. No calculators allowed in his class. He wants you to shed the fear of Math and is willing to help as long as you try. One last thing if you are sick don't bother going to class.

This class was so boring! If you take this class be prepared to drink about 5 red bulls before you enter. He speeds through everything like we all knew what we were doing. Fortunatlly I already had a grasp of this class. TAKE ANOTHER TEACHER! Also, he thinks he's the funniest man on the face of the Earth. If you do take this class stay out of site.

He is your classic male math teacher in the sense that he speeds through everything because he knows it all and expects everyone to keep up and has this attitude if your not keeping up with him, as if he is not supposed to be "teaching" us.

Rama was a very nice teacher with good intentions. However, he constantly told us that he treated this class more as a psychology class than math. He had his own methods to teaching procedures which made it complicated when the book was teaching us otherwise. It was hard to follow his lead and get good grades.

I had a very difficult time in this class and it was simply because of his lack of teaching skills. I know this because I took his class spring semester and that summer i took an 8 week class from another teacher who was AMAZING (sorry i can't remember her name!) and i aced her class! I found his methods very confusing and indirect. He rushed through everything and was BORRRRRIING.

Mr Olsen is not very good at lectures , which can be frustrating to waste the time attending class. His tests are difficult but he is great with one on one teaching and if you have the time, and take it, he will help. He actually can simplify what seems complicated.

Mr. Olson is an incredible teacher. He shows you the easiest way to do things and completely takes the stress out of the class. You just have to be willing to ask questions or go to him for extra help if you don't understand something. But yes, he's awesome...I'm taking him next semester too.
