He is just bad. Course is disorganized. Always mistake in HW and instruction are not clear, So you might work hard and still not get full credit because of his instruction. His TA's are just like him. Don't have any clue about the class and gives you wrong information and messed you up. Avoid him under any cost. TRUST ME!!!

Comment:

Dr. Sridhar is a nice guy but his class wasn't for me. Lots of HW and projects but nothing was very hard or challenging. You get mad partial credit on exams and quizzes too. One time in class he spent the first 20min ranting about how we could basically do the bare minimum in his class, fail the final, skip the 3rd project, and still get a C-. lol.

Probably the most disorganized professor I've ever taken. He is officially a useless human being. Half the lecture is pointless and the rest is barely comprehendable. I'm in honours college and the course is severely hurting my gpa.

He was a total of 7 classes worth of time late to class(Yes i counted). Even when he was on time he still rambled 25 min before teaching. Taught the same few slides for about 3 classes straight. TA's thought some hw q's made no sense. Exams were hw q's with changed values. Gave 3 hard projects last 2 weeks of class. Easy but a waste for everyone.

He gave the topic list for finals two days before the finals.... Most of the people I know in the class are retaking this course with a better professor. You'll learn the bare minimum. He also likes to give projects right before finals week and expects you to know how to do it.

The guy gave us three intense projects, all at the same time, all due at the beginning of finals week. With a week to do them in. Gives pop quizzes to enforce lecture attendance. Goes over semi-advanced EE topics to a bunch of CS freshmen/sophomores. Hardcore slide reader. Slides are just hundreds of pages of text, literally. Would not recommend.

Comment:

CSE-241 is essentially a preparatory course for CSE-341. Prof. Sridhar does an outstanding job of not only providing the requisite material, but also contextualizes it in a way such that a serious student never finds himself asking, "why do I need to know this?" Prof. Sridhar really cares that the students learn. Sit up front for better grade!

Sridhar is really nice and means well, but isn't a good teacher. Most lectures he would annotate textbook diagrams with his mouse. Material is not too hard, but be prepared to learn it on your own.

Sridhar is a great person, but, unfortunately, not a very good professor. He truly loves his students and wants them to succeed, but he is not too helpful. This class was easy to teach myself but perhaps another professor would be a better choice.

Probably one of the worst professors I've ever had in my life. The first half of the semester I already learned before so I know how bad he is. He doesn't teach anything and just mumbles about nothing and yet he's surprised class avg is 50.

Sridhar really means well, but he just lacks in teaching ability. Mumbles important explanations, takes forever to grade things. Forever =(> 2 weeks). Slightly helpful in office hours, still does not explain things well. Lecture notes not clear. Material is not hard in class, but it is a "self study" class. Tests are decent, not enough time given.

Tests are similar to the homeworks. You will have to teach yourself everything for the class as he doesn't. Reads off slides and skims through complex material without explaining it. At least he's a nice guy and tries to help. Textbook needed for a few of the homeworks, you can get by without it really but the book's easier to learn from.

Coming in from a cs background, the I had a lot of catching up to do for the ee knowledge. The exams were fair, questions matched hw and quizes on the basics of what you should take from the class. The simester design project was fun. Sridhar was very helpful in his office for circuit design ideas and were to look for information.

Exams are not written based on material learned in class (if anything is learned at all). Exams seemed to be written by another professor from another university since some of the test material was not covered in class. The only thing that is worth taking this class for is Cadence experience.

Without a doubt the worst I class I have ever taken. Complex calculation and concepts presented with no examples. You will be left to flounder with the material on your own and the textbook does not give examples either. Spent many too many hours reading online to teach myself the class to do well. Also bad language barrier with ta.

Sridhar didn't even teach this one. We watched 3 year old lecture videos and his TA tried to teach the class. Has a huge problem with students working together, constantly accused the class saying 75% were cheating and he would fail them all. Don't take this class
