Have to get used to the accent, but other than that, not a bad class. Don't get me wrong, you'll need to study a little, but he's a pretty good teacher. One thing though, he uses a test bank for his tests, and sometimes the questions are a little confusing, so just keep that in mind.

Akkihal is a very funny guy. I agree that he is a little difficult to understand but seriously he is one if the easiest teachers at Marshall. I actually missed half of the semester and still passed with a B!

Accent is kind of hard to understand but as he says "the book doesn't have an accent." But really nice guy. He is funny at times. He cares about you making a good great. Tests are hard but he curves them! Final is optional.

He is hard to understand at first. You takes notes off of what he puts on the board. You do have a few pop quizzes, but they are not too bad because they are over previous material. Its helpful to look over stuff he has went over. He will give you a study guide for exams if you ask, which is extremely helpful. Final is optional. Use the book!!

BEST MAN IN THE WORLD! Wonderful teacher! He is tough! But he always wants to help and loves what he does! Tests are hard, but don't let that stop you! If you want help he will be there for you! I highly recommend Dr.Akkihal, it is a very hard class, but what economics class is not? He is one of the nicest professors i have ever had, and he is very helpful in any way possible. His curve is great.,.Honestly, i almost completely bombed every test and came out with a C. Go to class, dont be late, or talk during class and you will be fine.

He's as hard to understand as he is nice. It's a tough class, not just because of the communications barriers either. He's willing to help as much as necessary. There are pop quizzes as well, so I advise going to amazon & buying the study guide before it's too late! It brought my grade up from a low "C" up to a high "B".

A tad hard to understand at first, but the more you listen to him the easier he is to understand. By minderms you won't have a problem. Very helpful, wants you to get a good grade. Curves tests just a tad, and simplifies concepts to make them easier to understand.

He's such a super nice man! He's very logical in his teaching approach and it makes the concepts much easier to understand. He uses great examples that clarify the concepts and he teaches directly from the book, so there's no reason for his accent to get in the way of understanding the material. Just really PAY attention to what he say's!
