Comment:
no rhyme or reason apparent to grading style. Can work twice as hard as other groups and get same result. Lectures are helpful, but dull. Cannot hear well so asking questions only confuses him. Let's slackers get by easily so don't bother complaining about your group.

Comment:
this class and professor is a major stumbling point for many Chem E's. His lectures are VERY boring and overkill, as the mathematical derivations he explains are way above the scope of the class. the book is written by him and is the same as the pointless lectures. only way of surviving is to work the HW sets multiple times and even then its hard

Comment:
Cerro is a very hard grader. He will give partial credit but not much. His tests are 4-6 questions long. The questions are just like the homework and examples he does in class. I recommend doing your homework if you want to do well on the tests. His lectures are hard to focus in as he uses powerpoints and doesn't work things out for you.

Comment:
Lectures are nearly useless, he goes in depth on advanced mathematical derivations of otherwise more simply explained problems. Textbook is about as confusing and in depth as his lectures (he wrote the book). Problems on test are directly from HW wmods; DO THE HW! Difficult exams, try to get old tests if you want above a C.

Awful teacher. Only will teach with his slides. He refuses to go over homework and says his tests are easy and doesn't understand why the class average is a 50.

a HORRIBLE teacher, and he teaches out of that worthless book he wrote. Gave tests that other professors said were on a senior level. UAH needs to fire him.

Horrible lab instructor. No lab manual. He sits you in front of a packed column and expects you to know what to do.
