Comment:
Dr. Pani is a kind man and a very good professor. His lectures were quite interesting but anyone without somewhat of an interest in the topic of the day may find them long and dry. Powerpoints and posted readings replaced a book and the lectures added to the context of the PPs. 4 Exams, but lowest is dropped. Would love to take this class again!

Your whole grade in this class will be based on tests. You take 3 tests during the semester plus a final and your lowest grade is dropped. I ended up with an A after the first 3 so I didn't have to take the final which was really nice. I rarely attended lecture and taught myself from the lecture slides and did fine. Not hard just a lot of info

I got a 74 on the first exam cause I missed two classes and didn't study at all. On the next two exams I got a 99 and a 98. With 9 XC points, I ended up with an A. Only things graded are 4 exams and you drop your lowest one. The lectures can be boring, but they'll add 5-15% to your exam grade. He curves. He posts quizzes to prep for exam. TAKE THEM

He does post slides, but it helps to hear the lecture b/c slides don't have all info you need. I enjoyed listening to his lecture b/c I am already interested in the topic and he delivered material in a clear way. Only 4 tests, can drop one. He is organized, which made my notes organized. Assigns readings but all info needed is given in class.

All lectures/slides will be posted and in class he goes over the slides. There is no textbook so studying comes straight from notes. He posts quizzes that are not for points but are for studying for exams that are VERY helpful. Voice is soothing but some find it extremely boring.

Professor Pani is a very knowledgeable instructor at UofL. The class is pretty standard, but may come off as difficult for anyone not used to Psychology courses and exams. Lectures are the majority of the test, since he did not use a book this semester. 4 exams and only 3 are counted. Readings and practice quizzes offered. Very, very nice person!

If you're really great test taker, you will do well in his class. 3 highest exams count for your grade even though he offers 4. He will answer questions but sometimes his answers are unclear. So much material is covered in this course and it is very difficult for me to memorize. I had another student warn me of his class and she failed.

The only grades are from three exams and one cumulative final, but you get to drop your lowest exam grade. So if you do well on the regular exams you don't have to take the final! However, he reads straight from the slides and is pretty boring. I never went to class, just read the book, and I got a B.

He reads from the PowerPoint he posts, but does explain it all well. Reading the book is a must if you want beyond a C.

Great professor. You must come to class in order to do well, but he tests on exactly what he lectures. Reading the chapters is a must as well.
