He IS a tough grader, but I appreciated it. I knew I needed to really THINK. I can't complain about being challenged because it is the point of learning, is it not? This class was the highlight of my week. I still study independently because my passion for the subject grew through the deep thought and work I put into this course.

I personally thought Ramone was one of the best teachers i have ever had. I am not a philosophy major but almost wished i was after taking his class. He is the man and he made me have a new understanding of which way words logically work.

Comment:
Dr. Sewnath is hypocritical and unphilosophical. He encourages people to be open-minded and question their beliefs, but does none of that himself. He insists that anyone from the "West" cannot possibly have an understanding of eastern philosophy; this might be worth checking into, as he is from the Netherlands and has no understanding of Buddhism

A very east-going, interesting, and intelligent person. I found his lectures to be very thought-provoking. Take the class with him because you're interested, not just because you "have to." The assigned papers are only a few pages long, because he believes in quality and idea over quantity and rubbish.

I enjoyed this class. He knows what he's talking about and loves it, too. He was very straight-forward. He did a TON of examples on the board before he gave you homework. Grades hard but curves it. All in all, I learned a lot and enjoyed myself.

Horrible teacher, doesn't explain anything and has told my class that our "opinions don't matter". Tough grader and all around horrible teacher, I don't recommend anyone taking him.

This class isn't that great to me. It's so darn boring. He seems like a nice guy, but class time is a waste! We are always wrong n he always says philosophy has no answers and then expects us to ANSWER questions in essays! Confusing! Hopefully ill get a good grade! Oh and i dont know how he is grading us, we only did 2 papers and nothing else.

There should be a field for "wastes time." The guy doesn't teach logic. He argues with you over poorly defined semantics. It is BS that any one studying a legit science has to take this course. The entire logic curriculum is covered during the first two weeks of MAT178 anyway.

Okay so who thought Logic would be this hard? I sure didn't. He tries to help you out a lot, but find it amusing when you're wrong. He gets 2 different smiles on his face, pay attention to it. You'll learn when you're right or wrong just from that.
