Professor Bennett is one of the most intelligent professors at Gonzaga. Classes are lecture-based and very detailed. Everything you need is integrated into the lectures, so pay close attention. Study old quizzes, problem sets, and notes well. You must fully grasp the concepts and be able to think outside the box in order to do well in the class.

Bennett is a very nice guy but definitely has an odd personalty type. He lectures a lot and you learn a lot from him. The reason for my 2/5 rating are all because of his quizzes. He always throws curve balls that you never see coming. No matter how hard you study, never expect more than a B on a quiz.

Very lecture heavy make sure you show up and take notes and you should pass the quizzes. Midterm was super hard. Nice guy and willing to help but not the best teacher. Kinda unclear. Not the worst but not the best.

Professor Bennett is so incredibly nice and one of my favorite professor here at Gonzaga. He lectures the entire class and goes through many examples in detail. You don't need to buy the text book, just look at his notes and you're fine. His class is hard so don't skip even though he doesn't take attendance. Study the problem sets and notes well.

Comment:
Bennett just lectures the whole time but the lectures are VERY clear and he explains every concept very well. You will need to study his study guides very closely, because his quizzes are very tricky. No homework or outside reading from a textbook so the work load is light. Entire grade is based off of test and quizzes. Overall great professor.

Randall is a really nice guy. He's a super genius at economics, but he's so smart that he doesn't know how to explain macro to people who have never learned it before. I attended every class period, took notes, studied for hours before quizzes and tests, and I almost failed. Class is entirely lectures. Grade is 5 quizzes, a midterm, and the final.

Professor Bennet, Explain material well in class. No homework. Whole grade is based on quizzes and tests so you better know your stuff and focus in class. Gives practice quizzes before every quiz and it is a necessity to take good notes while understanding them. He also drops your lowest quiz grade which is hype.

Go to every class, take notes, and actually study and you will be fine. Bennett is always willing to help so use his office hours!! I had him for both economics because he is so straight forward and cares about people understanding the material. Don't need the book but it might help conceptually.

Will write everything he says in class on the board. Goes over it all in detail multiple times if it is important. No study guide but go to class (takes attendance every day) and you should know what is important and what will be on the test. He teaches right out of the book so you dont need to buy it but it can help if you miss class

Randy Bennett is awesome. He is so clear you do NOT need to buy the textbook. I thought the class was pretty easy, but I understand why some people thought it was difficult. The key is attendance. If you LISTEN to lecture and take notes you should ace the quizes. Highly Recommended.

He's a great teacher! He does not take attendance, but you will miss out on a lot of notes if you skip. The textbook's not necessary, I only read a few chapters. There is no homework, however he will give you practice problems prior to a quiz. Not an easy class, but definitely a worthwhile class. Midterm: 100 pts, quizzes: 150 pts, final: 150 pts.

Bennett's class is somewhat difficult, only because your grade is based entirely on 5 30point quizzes (where if you miss 1 question your grade goes down by a letter, a midterm that is 100 points, and a 150 point final. The quizzes and tests are sometimes a little tricky but if you take good notes and study you should do decently.

Dr. Bennett's class is pretty tough, but in a good way. You can tell he really loves Economics. His lectures are very thorough, so listen closely in class, take good notes, study the practice problems he provides, and you'll do well in the class. The online textbook, though, is utterly useless. If you're interested in Econ, you should take him!

Dr. Bennett is THEEEE man. He is hilarious (just the way he acts and talks) and is extremely helpful - all you have to do is ask. He is difficult, but if you go to his office hours, he tell you everything you need to know. Plus, he's wayyy laid back. Hard teacher. BUT AWESOME. I definitely recommend him!

Very thorough teacher, his lectures clearly explain what you need to know, and his bug eyes and voice inflections crack me up. However, the quizzes are pretty tough because he expects you to know how to synthesize all of the information he taught, literally ANYTHING from a certain unit could appear on a test. IMO you gotta work HARD to earn an A.

Took both micro and macro with this guy. Great lecturer, but really geared toward the auditory learner. If you can learn easily in lectures you won't find a better class for you. Gives practice problems very similar to quizzes. No homework needed except studying and reading if you don't learn well from lectures.

Bennet is probably a genius. He explains everything so thoroughly and without lecture notes most of the time really. Never any homework, but the tests and quizzes are tough. He really expects you to understand concepts and not just know how and when to crunch the numbers. It's a hard class, so don't go here looking for an easy A or B.

This guy really knows his****. You dont even need the book although it might help. He gives a lot of quizes but it keeps you on top of what you need to know. Like any Economics class, the tests are really hard.
