You can get a B without reading any of the homework, but there is a loTT of reading. He doesn't call on people. Assigns a lot of work so if you're ready for it do it. Hard grader, but fair. Very smart teacher, and extremely knowlegable. BEWARE of mansplaining... Take notes on everything he says in class because it will help you on the finals.

I hate this class. He just rants the whole time and thinks he's an expert on history. He grades papers and exams so harshly and even writes rude comments when he doesn't agree with something. This guy needs a reality check because not every student who takes his class is a "history expert" like him. Thanks to him, I'm not gonna be taking HIS 202.

Since when does a historian become a political scientist? This man is so unqualified to comment on local politics in Philadelphia, it makes me sick to my stomach! The only correct ideas are HIS ideas and you can't rewrite essays enough times to satisfy him. I felt like telling him why don't you write the essay yourself and put all your ideas in it!

Nice man, incredibly intelligent. However, very difficult class. He is a scholar on the subject, and you're graded on the papers/tests as such. Adds his two cents on everything you say. No matter how well you write, there's still a chance he will completely fail you if the paper is not exactly what he wanted. Not worth the effort. Avoid if possible
