This class is hard. Sleeth is a great professor though. Many had problems with him bc of the perceived difficulty of the course. Those students just wanted to go in to lecture, zone out, and leave. But they had to actually do stuff...

Comment:

Sleeth calls out those who try to BS his class. He has a socrative teaching style, and most of all requires consistency. He teaches you how to deal with bushleague people as well as how to function within an organization or group. I got Cs on his exams, but did all of the work and attended class and events. Pretty much work hard and you'll get a B.

Class has the vasage of being extremly difficult, but this is mostly due to the lack of clarity. You will learn untolds amounts of stuff due to the class being very hands on. If you want to be challenged and don't mind getting involved you will come out a better person. Also this class can improve your resume.

3 weeks away from the final and i have no clue what my grade is. But this is the most interesting and exiting class i have ever taken. I used to complain about how this class is too much work but now i am going to miss it. thank you Dr. Randy !

This is a very challenging class! Take this class during a semester where you will not have a lot of work from other classes. The assignments themselves are very easy and straightforward, the class just requires A LOT of commitment for community service, teamwork, and committee work. Just participate a lot & you can easily get an A, can't be lazy.

If you have to take this class make sure you have a lot time allocated to this class. Some of your grade is graded by group leaders and you don't get a chance what grade they gave you till the end of the semester. Some act friendly and smile at you but they give you Zero for no reason. Form a strong group and float all semester.

Would not suggest taking during a rough semester. I thoroughly enjoyed his class. If you are at all self-conscious, inconsistent, frequently absent, or lazy I would not recommend taking his class. Learned more than I thought I would about working with people, and how to manage the rebels. Got a B w little effort.

Professor is a very unique teacher. He wants you to ask questions and challenge him. It may seem like a tough class, it is, but make sure the work is divided equally in your group. Take charge in this class. Be a manager or senior manager.

Dr. Sleeth doesn't explicitly tell you anything in his class. OB is tacit knowledge. You have to do the work AND learn on the job. READ THE BOOK or you'll just be miserable every day. If you don't engage yourself as a team member, you'll become disconnected and you just won't do well. Get involved just for the sake of being able to get answers.

I was so not about this class after reading these reviews but i ended up getting a B. If you do what you need to do group and community service wise you will pass. Make yourself noticed (IN A GOOD WAY) you will be fine. There's a group quiz every class that's how you get attendance

Probably my favorite class I have taken out of 5 years in college. Interesting and objective, takes a new and rough approach at teaching by playing the role of a 'hard' boss. If you've ever actually worked for a hard boss in some mgmt capacity this class will amaze you at others' inability to adapt and you will see it as the farce it is.

Taking this course is like accepting a job working for someone you hate; and volunteering to work twice as many hours for the same pay. It's a stupid idea, and you would NEVER do that! DO NOT BECOME A MANAGER!! Unless you know your team is good and will help you, the manager does all the work!! IT IS VITAL YOU PICK A GOOD TEAM THAT WILL PUT FORTH A LOT OF EFFORT! Easily the worst teacher I've ever had in my life. A few valuable life lessons held within his lectures. Everything else is jargon. His class is absolutely ridiculous. It is truly unbelievable the tasks his class consists of. Extremely arrogant, so much that it comes off he's doing it on purpose. Verbally berates his students for 90 minutes.

So he is a unique professor but if you actually listen to him theses no way you won't get an A. I had F's on both test but for the daily quizzes he tells you what to know through the syllabus. If your group isn't working out you can quit and join another. Key to getting a good grade is YOUR GROUP!!!
