Mr. Tharp was the best teacher i ever had. I think all the bad reviews on here were from angry students who failed because theyre lazy. HE IS NOT A TOOL. so don't even refer to him as that.

Pretty chill guy, but very lazy. Doesnt really go out of his way to make sure students understand. He spends forever going over the homework and teaches really slow. we only got to chapter 3. not a very good pre-calc teacher but if you took calc in previously it will be a sinch for you. I ended up getting an A.

The class for me was a good experience. I have already taken calculus in high school, but wanted to take a course introducing excel before i went into a calculus course with it. It was a little tough for me because I was so used to not showing alot of work, but once i caught on it wasn't bad. Got an A, and the Mr. Tharp is a real decent guy too.

I wish more teachers where like this. He is funny and knows his stuff also. Despite what others wrote on here, I think he is a cool guy. Nice too. You just have to understand humor. I really liked the way he sets up his grades. I took my time doing the homework and all i ended up needing was a 45 (out of 100) on the final to get an A.

Good guy. His jokes aren't always funny and he goes off on tangents sometimes, but he knows the subject well and did a pretty good job of explaining it, I think. It's not a real interesting subject and I think he pushes it up a notch, whereas I could easily see other prof's pushing it down one.

Man, he goes on and on about his wife!!! It seems like he ever talks about is his nagging wife. Shut up and teach the class! He tries to be funny but it's overkill sometimes. The subject he teaches isn't hard. Just read the book and you'll be fine. He's an average teacher.
