This man is probably the funniest person on campus. Adventure games was incredible with Randy. Its a real shame W&M is getting rid of one of the actual good classes they have.

Absolutely amazing teacher and program and should not be being stopped! I've taken adventure games and kayaking with him. I've been able to push myself to try new things as well as take a much-needed break during the week. Kayaking ends with a weekend trip to Richmond and is such fun! Highly recommend any kinesiology courses with Randy!

By far my favorite class! Randy is the best professor I've ever had. He's so inspirational and funny. Anytime I was feeling nervous or scared of the height in an obstacle, he helped me complete it and stay calm. I'm beyond upset that they're getting rid of this class, so do yourself a favor and take it!!! You won't regret it!

It's adventure games, so you shouldn't have to read an online review to know that you should already be taking it. Randy loves doing this class, and it won't be around for much longer, so take it. He won't let you fail. Ziplining was my favorite part, and literally just trying to do stuff is good enough, if you're worried about needing to succeed.

Randy's got great stories and a solid teaching style (very encouraging and understanding but not a spoon-feeder--more hands-off, I'll show you the ropes and you climb them and I'll catch you if you fall). One of my fave and best decisions to take Whitewater Canoe with him last semester!

DRAKE IS AMAZING!!!!!! He really is big on safety, but loves to have fun as well. Kayaking is a great course to take if you want something to do that is stress-free. I'm definitely taking another class with him in the future :)

Randy's really fun. Whitewater canoeing 1 was a great class, and he made it really enjoyable. The final trip was miserable, as it was freezing cold and pouring, but I still ended up having fun. Plus, the class ended on the first day of November, and freed up a couple hours every week that I used to study at the end of the semester. Good class!

Adv. Games has been one of my favorite classes at W&M, and Randy is the coolest prof. All you have to do is show up to pass the class, and if you try a little bit you'll have so much fun. The class includes teamwork games, repelling, climbing, low ropes, and high ropes, all of which were extremely fun.

awesome awesome class. you'll be pushed outside of your comfort zone every class, especially if you're afraid of heights, but Randy is very understanding and encouraging- all he cares is that you try. definitely recommend this as both a fun class and one that will help you grow as a person

Take as many classes with this man as you possibly can. He has been winning major paddling competitions for years, and his experience definitely shows in his ability to teach students to paddle. Great personality and a lot of fun to talk to. If you're lucky, you will have Randy's sidekick, Doc, as a TA. Their conversations are hilarious.

Amazing professor! Take kayaking with Randy - he's awesome and the class is fantastic. He does a really good job with making sure those with little experience are able to understand concepts but he doesn't bore those with more experience. Definitely worth taking!

Excellent instructor. Funny and extremely knowledgeable. Randy managed to not leave anyone behind, but at the same time didn't make things boring for those of us who already had prior experience. I had thought I was good at canoeing beforehand, but I learned so much more in this course. The final white water trip was a very fun experience, too.
