There was no attempt to teach anything except his own opinions. A textbook was required but never used. He just showed up for class and talked about whatever he was thinking about at the time. There were no tests. Grading was extremely easy.

I LOVE THIS CLASS!!!!! He was a great teacher and I really enjoyed going to his class. I would recommend this teacher to anyone he made a class I was dreading into something I really liked. There is a lot of great class discussion and it is an overall great class.

Professor Ford is a great guy. Fun, interesting, uses good logic to back up his arguments. The only problem is that as a teacher he isn't very helpful. There are too many instances where he rambles off topic. There are too many classes where we talk about nothing. I'd be alarmed if I had to take an essential class to my major from him.

Best teacher ever! This class would be really boring if he wasn't the teacher. He makes the class so much more interesting. If you miss a class, he tends to make fun of you during the next class. plus he likes chili peppers!

Great class with lots of free-form discussion. Definitely my favorite class this semester and I find Dr. Ford extremely entertaining. I learned some interesting things and enjoyed the class. If you can possibly take INST302 with him to fill your sci/tech core requirement, I highly recommend him for it. Thank me later

Interesting guy but a horrible teacher! He loves to talk about himself and you will learn more about him than you will about SE. Because of him, I've been embarassed on more than one occasion for not knowing even the basics of SE. Whenever my group discusses SE, the running joke is that it needs to be explained to me, because I was "Hood Forded".
