Randy was awesome! I took his Psyc Explanations class and it was one of the easiest classes I've taken. He explains everything extremely well. All he does is lecture, and sometimes he may go a bit fast, but just tell him, and he'll slow down and repeat what ever you need. Only had 1 midterm (80 mc), 1 paper, & 1 final (not cumulative, 60 mc).

Pro: Exams are all written. If you come to class and memorize every word of your notes, you will do well. Textbook not required. Con: No lecture notes, dictates everything and talks too fast. May test you on something he doesn't talk about in class. Tough marker for papers with minimal feedback. Unavailable when needed.

Enjoyed the class. Found him pretty funny during his lectures when he shares his opinions as well as some old cop stories. Attendance is crucial to passing considering he doesn't post anything online. Decent marker, put in the effort and you'll get the results.

While he has a ton of knowledge and experience to bring to the course and had funny stories, he's a bit full of himself. No feedback on the term paper and not too willing to make himself available to his students. Class is all lecture, you have to be there. Read the textbook. I wouldn't take his course again as I didn't like his teaching style

Great lecturer and has really interesting insight on the topic. However he seems more interested in talking about himself than teaching class, in addition the feedback on papers is next to useless and he requested students book appointments the following semester if they wanted to ask him questions about their grade.

Best prof I've ever had. The content is interesting already and he brings incredible stories to give even more clarity to the notes. He has a slightly dark since of humor that will lighten up any lecture. Paper was actually interesting and the tests are fine if you study a bit. Best course in douglas.

Lectures are very interesting and informative. Great instructor. He provides examples of his own based on his experiences at his line of work. Funny, nice and approachable. Tests are not that hard as long as you really listen to his lectures. Read the textbook too because he will include other statistical data on the test.

Hands down best CRIM prof @ Douglas! Love his stories and teaching style. He pretty much tells you ahead of time what is on the exams. As long as you attend class and take notes you will be good! Love Love Love him!

Awesome instructor! Learned lots but note-taking is challenging due to speed of talking. Paper is graded hard but fair so start early. I'm looking forward to his next class.

Very proffesional and knowledgable with all the material that he presents to the class. I really enjoyed how he would share his own personal experiences when he was a police officer. I will admit that he does go a little fast during the lecture, and is a hard marker, but overall I have a lot of respect for him!

he lectures so fast that it's super hard to write down all the notes and all his tests are based on his notes so it was hard for me to do well . If he can slow down , It will be good

TAKE GOOD NOTES. As he will mention, only one or two questions will be on the test. His tests are NOT multiple choice(which I liked), but if you've taken good notes you should great! Little bit of a hard marker on the term paper.

He is a hard marker, especially when it comes to assignments. Althouth he said " It never hurts to buy a textbook for the course" I never did as it was pretty expencive and still ended up with B+ only by taking his notes. So, take notes!

He needs to be humble. Way too "Big Ego." Mark too tough on essay assignment. His feedbacks on essay assignment are worthless as they're completely illegible. Unfair marker.

All M/C exams are doable and directly from his lecture + your notes during the class. However, the he marked essay assignments too hard so you're not getting an A.
