Comment:

One of the best professors I've had and most interesting class I've ever taken. I've haven't met a professor with so much knowledge, I can truly say I have learned a lot. Tests aren't hard as long as you take good notes and the TA will make a study guide and grade the test. Take this class, I'm so happy I did!

Comment:

Hindson is one of the best professors I've had at Texas State! The man is a genius on the subject and presents it as as story not a cut and paste lecture. Your hand will hurt, his writing is illegible but his lectures are the best. Tests are tough and demanding and not very straight forward but no excuse to not make an A!(This is my second class)

You must attend class! HIs exams are based off of the lectures and it isn't necessary to read the text books at all. You don't even have to buy them. His lectures are given ORALLY, but are very CLEAR. It's annoying how he only has 3 grades for the semester, but the TA does the grading - not Hindson.

I love Hindson's class. He is a great professor who lectures from start to finish so you take a lot of notes. However, at the end of the semester he went off course of his syllabus and this resulted in consulting the text for what we didn't cover in class. Only two tests and a paper. the biggest reason i hated the class was the people in it.

This professor is the worst professor I've ever had. His lectures are completely unorganized and it's impossible to tell what is actually important. The outside reading is completely separate from the lectures and is of no assistance. He doesn't respond to emails, he isn't helpful, and he's incredibly unclear. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS.

He is very nice and the class is pretty easy. I didn't use the book at all honestly for the class. All we did was presentations about Presidential elections. He talk a lot during your presentation and will help you out too.

Very knowledgeable about the material being taught. Heavy on the notetaking, no powerpoint or TRACS. Infact if your good at taking notes I wouldn't even buy the books. I recites his lecture from memory so he lectures most of the time with his eyes closed. I easily got an A in his class, mainly because I paid attention and never missed class.

Dr. Hindson class is amazing! From start to finish you will be writing notes but the information is very interesting & the class goes by really quickly. For the PResidency class you will have two tests and a 10-15 page paper but if you GO TO CLASS, than the tests will be easy and the paper isn't difficult but you just have to do it! TAKE THIS CLASS

Dr. Hindson is one of the smartest people you will ever meet. His lectures can be hard to decipher and he tends to talk quietly so I would suggest sitting up front. You take notes from the time you sit down to the time you leave. I was never bored in his class. He is very knowledgeable and genuinely loves the subject.

I don't understand where any of the previous comments come from, but I will not be taking this professor again. The reading material is horrible, lecture is all over the place, unable to read his writing, and half the time he mumbles, so I don't always know what he's saying. Our class doesn't have a TA nor do we have study sessions.

Because he is so freaking smart, he is very demanding. But remember that demanding is different from being hard. Easy B, and very interesting lectures. Knows every detail that you could imagine. Must read the books he assigns for the tests because he never reviews them in class. Very good teacher.

This guy is crazy! He was a real good professor. He wouldn't even read off of anything, he would just talk. This guy knows what he's talking about. He can name people in government no one has ever heard of! He is a very intelligent man and his class was really easy.
