Amazing is an understatement. One of the best lecture experiences I've had in my life. It's cliched but the professor definitely makes you want to go to his lectures. I wish I could take more classes with him. Would definitely recommend !

Such an easy class. I could listen to him for hours, he makes you enjoy the content you're learning. Use/know the study guides he gives you and you should get an A in the class. Definitely recommend for an easy A

Thought his WW2 class would just be filler elective, but he was honestly the dopest. Being in a STEM major, you rarely get profs that are as enthusiastic/entertaining as Randy Roberts. He tells stories about historical events like hes just recalling a memory he was part of. Very interesting course with amazing lectures and tests are fair. RR4Life

Literally the best professor at Purdue University. Hilarious in every way, a genius in his field, and makes a pretty damn depressing time period (WW2) actually enjoyable to learn. Tests are what make up this courses grade, I had 3 of them total. Not bad, gives a study guide, but the main point is to go to class in order to answer them correctly.

Interactive, makes it easy to learn the material. Grade comes from 2 midterms and a final. Study Guides are somewhat long, but it's important to do them in order to pass. Don't miss class, take good notes. Not hard to get a B if you do the work. TAs look for detail in exams. Exams consist of Identification of terms (6-8) and essay (200+ words)

Great teacher! I actually wanted to come to class to hear what he had to say. My course was graded on two tests - that was it, no homework or anything. Show up and you'll get an A, but you can actually skip and there won't be any penalties, which is even mentioned in his syllabus.

Entertaining speaker, but really only comes to class to give his performance and then leave. You'll end up dealing with his TAs (who are of inconsistent levels of competence) rather than him. Then again, the material is pretty much third-grade level compared to other history classes at Purdue and he seems to grade on a massive curve. Easy.

You'll have fun but be really disappointed in what you learn (or don't learn in this case). He's not nearly as smart as he thinks he is.

Bird class. Guy will bend over backwards to hand out good grades. Excellent lecturer, but you won't learn much. If you like history or have good memory, take him. If you're expecting to have a life changing moment, go elsewhere.

I took his WWII class a year ago. He is an incredibly captivating speaker: just listening and not taking notes I got an A on every exam. But his information on WWII was outdated and often inaccurate. Namely, his section on MacArthur. Disappointing, but a fantastic speaker. Take his class, but read another book with it.
