Great teacher, nice guy. Papers aren't hard especially if you ask him for help, then you'll do great. Requires some conferences which really help. Overall easy class. Deff. recommend this teacher.

he's a really good guy. grades really easy. i think he's very helpful when u have conference with him. listen to what he says and you'll do fine. cancels class pretty often and gives u options to go one of two days. he's so nice. topics on papers are a lil strange but still easy. cat and the hat paper was a sinch!

He's such an easy teacher. I got by with an A+. You show up and get the assignment. A paper is due every week but it's soo easy. He cancel classes every week. We had class like once a week. I love him though! Best teacher ever!

I loved him! I actually chose him because of what I read on ratemyprofessor. He cancels class frequently, allows late dates for every paper, gives you lots of time to revise your papers, and the assignments are very short and easy. He's generally a nice guy and tries to keep class interesting. TAKE HIM!!

I thought he was absolutly fantastic. He doesnt explaine things too well and his grading is odd but he cancels class all the time and lets you turn in almost everything late. I thought he was funny and i dont think we ever had a full class period. Not to mention that the assignments are easy. Sometimes odd, but really easy. I would recomend him!

He is very stern on sticking to his way of writing. Some people write differently than others. I enjoy writing poerty and short stories (contemporary writing), but he is into classic writing (the basics basically). He is a good teacher, but don't ever conform to his writing styles just because yours are different. Other than that, he's fine.

Dr. Smith is an excellent teacher. He makes his class very simple. Every paper you write for him he gives you corrections, then you fix them. There is no reason not to get an A in class as long as you write the papers. He also makes class more interesting by finding stories on the history of WIU. He also gives lots of days off, and some days we take field trips around campus to visit the historical sites of western. Great professor.
