She seemed like a cool cat at the start w/ engaging lectures... until she hits you essay after essay after more essays!! PLUS a visual to go w/ your essays _ Everybody freaks out over her tests cuz she hits ya w/a crazy heavy study guide of 8 essays that you get less than a week to complete! LPT- MAKE FRIENDS IN CLASS & STUDY TOGETHER!

Comment:

This class can appear really overwhelming at first due to the amount of work and the amount of notes you have to take, but she is very approachable and willing to help you in any way she can. She uses her heritage to her advantage by telling funny stories that are related to what we're learning as well as doing activities to help us. She is great!

Comment:

When first reading the syllabus, I was a bit scared of this class because the amount of writing we'd have to do, but the papers aren't bad at all. She gives you lots of opportunities during the semester to bring in your papers and go over them with your classmates. She isn't that tough of a grader and really wants everyone to succeed.

Comment:

This class would have been great were it not so unusually heavy on the workload. I did enjoy it otherwise. The tests are super difficult and highly time-consuming. We also had to wait about more than a month to get our grades/feedback on many of our assignments, even on the rough draft of our term paper!! I'm just glad it's over.

Teacher gives good feedback and is very helpful. However she gives way too much work and takes a long time to grade assignments. Expect all of your time to go towards reading and writing research papers . Also two midterms and two finals that are extremely writing intense and difficult.

This online class was pure torture!! The tests were impossible to pass and she grades very hard! The time limit on her tests should be extended. The questions she asks are long and complicated, there is no way you can finish reading them and selecting an answer within a minute. I will say she is very nice and always available to help though.

does not matter if you take SOTES for this class early or not, she will hold your grades until the very final deadline or even AFTER THAT. Yup, she procrastinates at grading. she takes forever to post grades. beware.

DO NOT TAKE HER ONLINE CLASS. She grades very hard on the essays. if you must, take her regular seminar class so you can see in person (maybe its better in person?). Online class has too many readings and papers to write every week. 1 midterm (essay & multiple choice) and 1 final (same format) and many many papers to write each week.

Real talk: she makes you work but she works JUST as hard giving feedback and helping students out. Her assignments are relevant and her lectures are memorable. Probably only take her after taking a few Chad courses because she goes fairly fast. 10/10.

The class was more difficult than the average CHAD course. There is one midterm, one final, one research paper, and two smaller papers. Almost everything is off her powerpoint lecture with a couple of group notes. She is nice enough to meet for help during office hours and bit after too.

I LOVE Ravisha! She is the best teacher I've had ever, I took ChAD 164 and am taking ChAD 195 Online. Yes, her classes are hard, but she makes the classes interesting and easy. All you do is write notes and study the study guide, write a few essays and your in! I would have her always be my teacher if it was possible!

Ravisha is one of the best professors I've had. She's extremely helpful, responsive, and caring. She is easy to talk to and will provide additional information on assignments, essays, and tests when you ask her. I recommend taking classes with her if you can!

Yes Ravisha can be little tough on the grading assignments because she pays close attention to the usage of mechanic writing skills. Nonetheless Ravisha is extremely helpful when you see her during office hours and class time. She's a great teacher to take for Chad.

I love Ravisha! She is the best teacher I've ever had! Yea this class is tough and theres a lot of writing but Ravisha makes this class do-able. She gives out lecture notes so you can pay attention. Attendance is mandatory. essays are hard but reasonable. As long as you do what the rubric says you'll do fine. I will take her classes again!

She is an amazing professor, you will actually learn something in her class! She has quite a few written assignments and her midterm and final are tough. Its an easy B class and you get recieve an A if you bust butt!

Ravisha's expectations of her students are very high, but she makes herself available to her students unconditionally. I enjoyed her class despite the hefty written material that's required: two written "projects," one large term paper, and a group project. But if you put in the work & time, you'll be sure to get a good grade!
