His stories are interesting, the lectures were awesome, and the group products you did in class were fun and easy. Pay attention for the mock trial if you know the subject it was easy and an easy A. I also took for aj 131 as well. If you take both at the same time they go hand in hand.

Mr. Ray Lewis is an amazing teacher. I strongly recomend taking his class. He is kind and easy to get along with. I will truely miss taking his class. He is a tough grader, however if you try and put effort into his class it will be extreamly fun. There are around 4 or 5 group projects they are very interesting and it was tied into the lessions.

Yeah he can be very intimidating ! But it is obvious he is very intelligent and knows what he is doing in class. Lots of group work I wasn't much of a fan of though. Not an easy class, make sure you read the presentations! Tests are hard too but you will be fine if you study. Attendance is important too.

He will make you work for your grade and make you learn the S.L.O.'s. Group projects are almost every other week and you have to put your part in. He knows what he is talking about but his grading scale is questionable. Some lessons were fun, role playing. If you ask him something he will look at you like there is something wrong with you. Avoid.

Don't take this class. I'm telling you, you cant be absent one day because the next day you'll have a group project due and you'll be completely lost and he wont help. I didn't learn anything in this class it was all a refresher from AJ100. It's very very boring so prepare yourself if you plan on taking it. GROUP PROJECTS X1000000

Great teacher, he's got lots of experience under his belt and he uses it to help teach; he really knows his stuff. However, you still need to do a little work. Theres not a lot of homework but you do need to study and pay attention in class, itll pay off later. Other than that, lectures are good, he tells cool stories and he's happy to help

Ray Lewis is awesome. He really knows his stuff. Sometimes the material gets confusing but do not be afraid to ask him! He wants his students to succeed. He may come off as tough at first but when you get to know him, he's totally awesome. But if there is something important that day (like a mock trial), YOU MUST SHOW UP.

READINGS, STUDYING, ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY !!!! wont read wont pass. He gives a few written assignments here and there. class is hard be ready

Professor Lewis is one of the most inspirational professor I had at El Camino College. His classes are somewhat difficult, pushes you to the extreme, but you will learn a lot. He has many funny stories about he experienced as an officer. Take his classes, PAY ATTENTION, DO your homework, and you'll be fine.

I wasn't a AJ major and I took 2 of his classes. Overall I believe he is a good teacher. He will work with you if you try and make the effort he gives the class a lot of chances. My only advice I have for incoming students is to study a 1-2 days in advance for his classes and at least put a week for his report writing classes and keep it simple.

ok heres the deal. this teacher is passionate about AJ material but lets face it hes old, has hearing aides in both of his ears, and most of his material is outdated. he doesnt return phone calls (bec he doesnt know how to work it) and he emails back last minute. midterm & final had ?'s on it that we never went over. i do not recommend him.

First of all, I strongly recommend you DO NOT take report writing especially if you have other options. There is a ton of homework in this course and the final will take you upwards of 10 hours in order to do it correctly. Ultimately, in my opinion it is not worth taking this class. On the other hand, I recommend taking other classes with him.

One of El Co's best! I took Lewis for almost all my AJ classes and was happy in each and every one of them! He may seem hard to some but he is totally understanding and is willing to teach you all he knows about AJ. Classes aren't hard once you have a basic understanding of AJ concepts. But again, best of the best for AJ at El Camino! =)

Take the lower level AJ classes prior to taking his classes, as they will set you up for success in his classes. He treats his students like professionals, so act like a professional and you will succeed. Understanding consensual encounter, reasonable suspicion, and probable cause = A+

Mr. Lewis is a great teacher. He is extremely passionate about his work and is really willing to help his students. His reports are not as hard as people make it seem. You just have to follow his guidelines. He gives sample reports and you really need to use it to your advantage. Loved this class overall. I'd recommend it.
