He does poorly at returning student e-mails and no office hours so he is difficult to see out of class. Low averages on all tests but doesn't grade on a curve. Studied for hours and still could not pull a decent exam average. Overall screwed over my GPA for a class that I will never use in my career.

Not a very good teacher at all. Just takes large chunks of text out of the book and pastes them on slides then reads them aloud in class. Also never works practice problems in class.

Great professor, the only problem is his soft talk. He explains well and showed knowledge about what he is talking about. If you ask something that he doesn't know, he will tell it, and search for the answer. Extremely helpful not only for his subject, but for almost everything that you need in the chemistry department.

Comment:

Dr. Lutgring is the most awesome teacher ever. This could just be because I LOVE chemistry, but I love going to his class everyday. True, O-chem is one of the most challanging classes I have ever taken, but I think Lutgring does a wonderful job of teaching it. Plus, he is very hott, so it makes it all the better:)
