I (among others) have taken his class several times. I have never taken another class more challenging than this over my entire undergrad. The grading format is RIDICULOUS. You could have an A (like I did) going into the final, yet receive an F if you cant get through the final. The final? A books worth of commands with very little time.

Grading doesnt make a whole lot of sense but I like how he does the final. If you have a C- in the class and get an A on the final, you get an A in the class. Unfortunately if you have an A in the class and get a D+ or below, thats your grade. Puts a lot of pressure of the final but also allows you a chance to rescue your grade.

He has a ridiculous grading format. Basically, he will take as much points off for the cell not being "seaweed green" as he would for an entire calculation being wrong. It doesn't make much sense because in the workplace nobody cares about the color of the cell, but they do care if the numbers jive. Avoid this egomaniacs class!

The total class was great because the TA's help a lot, and everything we learned I'm sure everyone will use again someday. Professor Tanner is just way too anal retentive about EVERYTHING!! I got points off when I didn't use a dark blue border around the cells in Excel.

Even though a lot of people might not have liked his teaching style, I thought he was a wonderful professor. He prepares you for what the business world want from us. I've feel like I've learned a lot from his class and this is one of the few classes that I can actually use what I've learned. :)

Very horrible. The prestudy assnts suck. He said they only had to be a page and it would only take 10 mins to do, but once you take the class, you'll see why it's not so. He has too many requirements for a supposedly "easy" assignment. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!

This guy is psycho. He told me I was doing assignments wrong when I was following the instructions exactly. Also, when I asked for help and clairification, he told me I was being "unprofessional and innapropriate" and would take "disciplinary action" against me.

Easy work. Lectures were very boring. Its good that you can resubmit assignments. Also, its all basic computer work. Look at the practice assignments before doing the graded ones to know how to do it. Its not hard. I got an A. He teaches like students are in 7th grade.
