Dr. Beal is a great Lady. She's passionate about literature. She's very understanding, and is not overly strict - like the professors who punish you if you're running a few minutes late. Her class is interesting, and she helps you understand the literature stories. She dresses very nice, and she's definitely classy.

Dr. Beal is an angel from above. She is an absolutely incredible person and professor and I would definitely take her again. There is a lot of reading but she understands if you don't have time to do it. She gets so excited in class that the time flies by. Take her class!

I took Beal for my freshman seminar. We had a writing assignment due everyday but nothing too intense. She was very understanding and really loved the material. She values class discussion and all the students got involved. Class was mostly enjoyable but could be boring. She is always there to help and wants a relationship with all students.

I took Beal's seminar about contemporary writers. So I expected a lot of writing and reading, and it definitely was. It is a must to participate in class! Not only does it help your grade, it makes the class interesting. Papers are intense, but she helps throughout the entire process. Always was available to help! If you work hard, it pays off.

Very good class I liked the teacher a lot and she was very encouraging to my artistic side. She was passionate about the material and made all of Dante fun. Loved her, loved the class. Obviously take her.

I cant express how much i absolutely hate this woman. She should be teaching 1st grade, not college students. She actually asked someone in the class what a pronoun was. Take her if youre into being so bored that you want to die. I got an A and slept through the class, but wanted to die.

I have never had a teacher hate my papers as much as she has. She is an extremely hard grader and her quizzes are hard as well. She expects students to be scholars or even experts right after they read the book. i loved the books I read in this class but I would not recommend this class at all.

FANTASTIC! Does not favor anyone! She is a very tough teacher... who will talk with you one on one about any paper questions you have! She also allows re-dos on papers so there is no reason for someone to not do well in her class if you actually want to deserve the grade! I loved her Camelot class so much! Beal... you rock!

Dr. Beal is so awesome! She loves her subject and is very knowledgeable about what is goign on in the society while certain works were being created. DEFINITELY must be prepared for class (i.e. reading must be done) and you have to be there on time!

Nice lady, but for some reason singles non-english majors out. I work hard on all my assigments and essays but still get bad grades, while other kids do well without much effort. Classes are long and seem pointless sometimes. She never lets classes out early! Not even a minute!

Maybe it was the subject material, but she made the class very interesting. Never a burden to attend. Only two 5 page papers, and forcing myself to read bits of Morte D'Arthur and Sir Gawain isn't hard.
