If you expect an easy A, I promise you won't find it here. If you are willing to put in the work and really try to excel, then you will find her to be an amazing teacher. I enjoy being in her Theory class. She expects a lot, especially respect. If you are willing to be an adult and take your education into your hands, you'll get along perfectly.

Has high expectations. Wants to see progress. If she tells you to practice something specific, practice until perfect and then still practice it. But she's also a great teacher my ability with the flute has improved I just didn't have the time to practice the amount she wanted. Very passionate and knowing about the Flute ask her anything about it.

The class in general is not terrible. It's interesting stuff, but remember to read the book and study frequently. When it comes to the paper, she isn't the greatest. I've heard through the grapevine she doesn't have a teaching certificate or an English degree, so she emphasizes way too much on the paper. She doesn't know what she's talking about.

For a gen ed she's not THAT bad. Honestly I believe she's a little misunderstood--I think she's so bubbly about ev-er-y-thing because she's really excited about the subject and she wants her students to feel the same. She LOVES discussion in class (it's even part of the grade) so ask any questions that come to you, she'll love you for it.

I took Dr. Dunnell for Enjoyment of Music and was nervous after all the comments I saw on here. Now I wonder why I ever worried! She made the class very easy, and was very helpful during and after class. When I had to be absent for a test due to personal reasons, she was very cooperative and compassionate towards my problem. Don't be scared away!

She is nuts! I swear the only way I got the grade I wanted in her class was by consciously deciding about halfway through the semester that I would spend the rest of my term kissing up. She is super cheery to the point that it makes you want to vomit.

WORST TEACHER EVER ! ! ! I used to be a music major but this woman alone was enough to convince me to switch! She is a horrid excuse for a "teacher", she doesn't give a flip if you do good in her class or not. If you are wrong HEAVN FORBID you'll never hear the end of it. I dropped her class and took the F, best decision ever.

She has made my life a living hell! She puts far too much emphasis on the research paper and she says you get to pick your topic but really you end up writing whatever she wants you to write about. Everything in her class is subjective and basically if she doesn't like you, you will not get a good grade. Worst teacher ever!

I was really interested in this class until I took it. I now look back on how much I hated this class. Her methods of teaching were bad and I just didn't get anything out the class. If the class is for students to learn to enjoy music, they need to find someone else to teach it!

I don't like her, try to get notes from previous student. Lots of reading(very good for going to sleep, I actually fell asleep in the middle of my living room on the floor while reading the textbook) and listening to memorize. Make sure you study, and do well on the quizzes!

She is the worst teacher I have ever had. Why make a study guide and put practice quizes on the course homepage, and then put other information entirely on the test? I don't know the answer to it but she does it. I studied hard and then the test came and none of her study aides had anything to do with the info on the test. Stay away from her.

don't really like her methods, she brought her husband in to play the harp for us it put me to sleep.... her class is a repeat of what i learned in ym 7 yesr of being in band.... so this class sucks... no one wants to learn about the baroque period.. no one!

How do I put this. THE WORST PROFESSOR IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND. I loved music before I had her and now I hate it more than I ever loved it. She is cruel, wants you to fail because she is a failed performer, thinks she is so upper class since she is from New York, and gets some sort of sadistic glee from students crying. Stay away!!!!
