She brought me to happy tears multiple times. Has thoughtful and powerful lectures. Readings can be long and complex. She's a tough grader for reading responses but gives good feedback that can help you improve. Amazing, caring person and professor

She is one of the top profs I've had at Bates. She's so intelligent, engaging, and kind. You can tell she's so passionate about what she teaches and truly cares about her students. She has changed the way I think about so many topics and I'm a better thinker because of her carry what she has taught me with me every day. You must take her class!

Rebecca Herzig is the best professor I have ever had. Her lectures are engaging and eye-opening. She manages to deliver controversial information in an unbiased way. Outside of class, she gives amazing feedback and she's very understanding and intelligent.

Rebecca Herzig is probably my favorite teacher at Bates so far, her lectures are discussion based and very thought provoking, and the work she assigns is meaningful. Nothing in this class is long winded and the students are very involved. She does grade hard though, and daily assignments are given.

You cannot leave Bates without taking a class from Rebecca Herzig! She is creative with how she presents ideas. She walks to work and does not have a cell phone! She is strict with her rules and policies. Her class has changed the way I think about the world and made me such a better writer. There is a short writing assignment due every day.

The best prof at Bates, hands down. She will change your life. There's a cult around her at Bates in a way that no other prof has. Unbelievable teacher. By far my favorite ever. She clearly loves being a professor and helping her students. Big on creating a cohesive classroom environment. She will change your life. By far one of the best at Bates. She is beyond brilliant, so invested in her classes and students, and totally cool. I am surprised that someone wrote on Oct 28th they didn't thinks he was a good prof. she is A GREAT PROF. she is so smart, so interested in getting to know her students (and not just about their academic work), and cares about you liking and learning the material not about grades. she is HANDS DOWN the BEST PROFESSOR AT BATES.
