She's absolutely terrible at explaining class material and assignments. Going to her office hours does not help, she only makes you feel stupid. She does not take into consideration that students have work for other classes. Overall, she's just not a great professor.

She teaches my online ACG203 class. The course its self is very easy. No need to watch the videos or anything, just do the homework and practice tests $ grade A. We must talk about her communication skills. She enjoys extending deadlines 5 hours before due date. Also emails us 8 hours before multiple chapter hws due and says they're extra credit.

She's a relatively lousy professor. Terrible feedback (if received) and she belittles students every chance she gets. I'd say don't take her, but you have no option if you're taking ACG306 at UNCW. It's a stupid-easy class, but she makes it oh-so-terrible. Poor grading criteria, unclear syllabus, and she is a little out of touch with this world.

Its not too bad of a class. She offers some extra credit. Theres a good bit of graded work so theres plenty of opportunity to turn a grade around. She went above and beyond and provided video instructions for some of the more challenging work which was very helpful.

I'm surprised by the reviews on Professor Sawyer. Sawyer is kind of out there but her grading is super easy. She does assign a lot work but the assignments themselves are not that bad. I was nervous taking her once I read the reviews on here but I would have absolutely no issue taking her again!

Took 306 with her. If there was anything I would tell myself looking back, it would be to make sure I had enough time at night between work and school to do the long projects that she assigns each week. If you work a lot of hours on top of school and the acg 301 306 combo, you will struggle and might not be able to put in the time necessary.

Took ACG203 online over the summer. All I'm going to say is buy a month of Chegg, com and have every single answer to every homework and test problem at your fingertips. Could've completed the entire class in a week if I wanted. 10/10 would recommend taking over the summer for an A. Chegg helps with answers AND comprehension of the topics.

I took her online for ACG 203. Never had a problem. I prepared for my tests & assignments, and did well on them. You should make an A if you do work online, at least for the online class; I can't speak for the seated class. I met her one time in person towards the end of the year, just to introduce myself, and she seemed very friendly.

She takes her class seriously but is clearly very intelligent and wise. If you want an easy A, this class isn't for you. She will call you out if you slack off or act like a fool, but she has every right to do so. If you do what you're supposed to do, she will be super understanding when you accidentally mess up. I loved her!

I would not recommend this teacher at all. If you take this class though, chances are you will not have a choice. Her tests are ridiculously hard, regardless of whether or not you look at the study sheet she gives you. You have projects due every day, which take hours each. She is arrogant and she is a very picky grader. Good luck.

One of the worst professors I have ever had. I emailed her very frequently with questions regarding homework, grading, additional assignments, etc, and I received a total of 3 rude and condescending responses. I am a 4.0 student and work hard. I also expect a level of respect and engagement from my professors that she didn't come close to meeting.

Dr. Sawyer can be tough, but work hard to make sure she knows you. Go to class because attendance is required. Participation will help you out a lot and she also gives quite a bit of extra credit that will really boost your grade.

I really liked Prof Sawyer. This class is a ton of work, but Sawyer always makes herself available for help. Also, she grades super leniently. It's really not hard to make an A in this class if you simply do the work and get to know Prof Sawyer

Mrs. Sawyer is actually a very nice lady if you dont bs in class. Having said that, this is the worst class I have ever taken, regardless of the teacher. 3 plus hours of homework a week, and tests are hard. Honestly if I would have changed majors if I had to retake this class.

I took Dr. Sawyer over the summer for managerial accounting and she was so sweet. She gave us a TON of extra credit opportunities with the PearsonEd online homework and was really good about making sure we understood the material. Could be a bit sassy at times, but hey who isn't?

For such easy material, Dr. Sawyer makes it nearly impossible to learn anything. I've never had a teacher so rude and condescending to her students before. Her teaching is scattered and unorganized and she has no problem making you feel like an idiot if you ask questions in class. Instructions for projects/ homework are useless. Avoid if possible.

Dr. Sawyer is not a nice lady. The sofware we use in this class, peachtree, is a complicated software and DO NOT rely on her to help explain because she DOESNT! She gives homework and you basically have to teach yourself. very rude. take someone else if you can.
