Professor Shepherd is easily one of the most caring teachers ive ever had. She tends to involve the class for her decisions to make everyone comfortable and she offers a good amount of extra credit.

An amazing professor! Take as many classes with her as possible! She is caring, fun & an amazing person. She shares stories which relate to the material & are enjoyable & often really funny. She is down to earth & really enjoys teaching, which makes learning a pleasure. The quizzes & tests are easy, notes may be allowed & you'll learn the material!

Professor Shepherd is an amazing human being. She cares about each and every one of her students and wants all of them to pass her class. The material is somewhat difficult if it's your second psychology class ever, but just pay attention in class and do your work and everything will be alright.

Professor Shepard is great. She does an excellent job of going over the material in class. Her homework helps us out on the exams. I definitely recommend her! She is very motivated which spoke out to me! Her class is definitely a challenge because of the physiology, but if you follow her slides and read the material you will pass!

Comment:

I took her class during winter online and I read the chapters, took the quizzes, participated in the discussions, the practice made the tests easy. Show a little effort and you can get an A. Ended with a 98% in the class.

Psychology 102 is not an easy class, by nature. However, she goes above and beyond to make the material fun and understandable. She helped organize TLC "study jams" before tests, gave very easy but educational homework assignments that had the exact same questions as quizzes and tests. You will never meet a more caring professor. Just do the work.

Rebecca is an amazing teacher! If your class pays attention she will give out take-home quizzes instead of having pop quizzes in class. Her tests are also very straightforward and she gives A LOT of extra credit opportunities. Rebecca is a definite gem :)

By far one of my favorite professors. Professor Shepherd is an amazing instructor and her lectures are exciting and interesting. You learn a lot from her class. She is very fair with grading. Exams and quizzes are not difficult as long as you study. I would definitely take her class again.

Shepherd is an amazing professor. The class is not hard at all since she makes everything very easy. She is super caring and understands if there are any problems that will come up. Exams and quizzes come from the lectures and some book material. Easy and great class. SUPER recommended.

Professor Shepherd is honestly one of my favorite teachers I have ever had. She actually cares about her students and doesn't try to trick you. She gives so much extra credit and her homework and lectures are identical to her tests, you would need to actively try to fail in this class haha. Funny and inspirational, highly recommend.

Ive taken her twice, for 102 and 225 and she is amazing at lecture, she cant cover all material but what sh does cover she goes in depth so its easy to understand. You do have to do a lot of reading but its not to bad. Also multiple assignments, but they help you understand the material. Ask questions and study you can pass. Also lots of extra cred

I took this as an online winter class. Be prepared to read the entire textbook. We averaged at least 100 pages per week. The tests are quite difficult, and if you haven't thoroughly read the text you won't do well on the tests.

never take this class! the class i took was online so it was probably much harder but it was terrible. she gives you no study guides for the test so you have to sit there and study 2+ chapters for a 100 question test without any help from her. lots of homework and very tedious

Do not take this class!!! This class was by far the hardest class I have ever taken for a few reasons. First, I do not believe psychology should be taken online due to how complex the subject is (my mistake), but Shepherd did not fail to make this the hardest class ever. The code & book are expensive and the tests are impossible to even get a D.

Shepherd was a fair professor. There was a lot of classwork and homework assignments throughout the semester based on the lecture and the textbook, however she was a very easy grader. There were 4 exams, no cumulative final. Exams were easy as long as you studied and came to class. Lots of quizzes, but most were take home or group work.

This teacher is really amazing. She taught me so many things that I can take into the field of psychology. She had quizzes, lectures, lot of extra credit, a lot of assignments that helped me have a better understanding of the materials. Read the textbook it helped me alot. I learned so much from Professor Shepherd.

Such an amazing professor. I learned so much from her class because she provides quizzes, lectures, and hw which all end up being on the test. If you want to learn about psych I would definitely recommend taking her. Best psych professor at coc!

Took online for summer, tons of EC. Personally, psychology was hard to learn alone, but I managed with the SmartBook. Major downsides are required textbook, very condensed information for a short class, long discussion boards (700 words), must take tests at TLC. Answers for quizzes can be looked up, and a lot are on the test too. ez A if u do EC
