if your considering taking his class i recommend NOT TAKING IT. He is a terrible teacher, me and another friend learned evrything from the book, we learned nothing from him. Everyone who says hes good is lying...seriously. He is very biased, gave me a HW grade which me and my friend had identical work and he didnt give him a grade.

This problem with this class is that he does not teach AT ALL. He expects you to learn from the book and the notes are USELESS. He does not make things clear when you ask him a question. I feel bad because he is a REALLY nice guy. But I had such a hard time in this class that I had to withdraw. I do not recommend for people with bad math skills.

Easy A. as long as you do all the homeworks. Tests are super easy. But his lecture is boring and not very helpful and he will test on the part he didn't cover. Once I asked a problem from homwork, he couldn't solve..

He is a good teacher, just ask for help. Easy tests. Just dont start slacking off, thats what i kind of did lol. The final, i had to review everything i slacked off on. thought the final would be a killer, but it was lower than my expectations. Notes are pretty useless. Just prepare to teach yourself at home.

If you need help in Pre-Calc this teacher is right for you. He teaches extremely well, and points out every step he makes in great detail. As long as you pay attention you should do well. He seems to ask for alot but its a pretty easy class.

avoid if possible! you have to teach yourself everything because he tries to make everything difficult and it's so difficult to understand what he's trying to teach. there's no point going to his class..too bad he makes it mandatory. homework is collected, tests are hard. horrible class!

Mr. Hamer is truly a wonderful caring teacher. He wants you to succeed as well as pass on what you learn in his class, to other math courses. I wish I could take him again. I went into the class with a negative attitude (I absolutely abhor math)and I passed, and learned how to do a summary of a course.

Mr. Hamer is very strict about the rules and very strict about being in class. Make sure you show up to class or he might assign a random in class project that day. The lectures are long and notes mandatory. Be warned that the class is out of little points so it is easy to make a couple mistakes and end up with a C or D. Not a recommended class

I don't like his style of teaching. The only reason I passed his class with an A+ is because I'm already familiar with this subject but scored really low on my placement test. He is very anal! He wants things in a specific order and makes you do useless things. Would not take him for higher division math.
