I have never been more connected to an Online professor all my life. She carries her Ipad everywhere so replies instantly. 2 Discussions are due Thursdays, and you gotta reply to two people by Sunday night. Also 2 small quizzes are due Sunday. night. There is extra-credit offered in class. There's annotation project and a Time capsule project

I love all my COM classes except this one. COM 316 session B. She spends literally 20 min going over one quiz question. There's a quiz every single class and you HAVE to read the chapters or you won't do well on the quizzes/tests. Every time I come to class, I'm in agony because it's so boring. Attendance matters.

Comment:

Participation and attendance/tardiness play a huge part in your grade. Strict grader- especially with citations (you will be called out mid-speech). Does not round grades or allow you to retake a missed quiz. If you are unable to attend extra credit events there's not another option to make up points. Just pay attention to your rubric for speeches!

Comment:

Comes off as very rough in the beginning but overall, a great instructor! COM430 was all about group com so some of her instructions were a bit vague to provoke solid group work. Work load is fairly heavy but if you plan, commit and submit decent work, you will do well and get good grades. She's quick with grading and gives good feedback. Not hard.

This teacher was awesome, she definitely changed from what I've read in the past reviews. She will come off harsh or crazy at first but she's very nice after you get to know her. She is liberal but she loves it when the class states their views and arguments. Overall, great class if you have good atmosphere and you actually learn useful things.

She uses the classroom mostly as a platform to talk about her own life and experiences, rather than having students talk. Not always great on clarity with assignments. I would have been much more engaged and into the class if she actually facilitated conversation. She will ask, hear one response, then speak for about 15 minutes answering herself.

She is the most opinionated professor I've ever had. She very liberal and don't bother having an open minded discussion with her because she believes she is always right about everything. Her version of a study guide is telling students to remember all the key terms from the chapters we read. Her quizzes every week are out of the book.

I was a good student, I show up to class and I got a good grade in the class so this is not a failed student that has a bitter grudge against the teacher. Literally the worst teacher I've had, the class is controversial in a way, but she never took the time to address the opposing arguments so no one learned where she was coming from. Worst ever

I took the half semester class (3 hour classes). It was tedious and immensely boring but I got a lot out of it without having to put in any effort. for the one essay she is a stickler for APA. She never missed class, and is overall a really nice lady and an easy class to pass.

Amazing! I took her online Comm 230 class this Summer. Participation is crucial so stay up to date. She is pretty good at sending you reminder emails of whats due. You work with virtual teams that you meet with twice a week, post two discussion questions weekly, and respond to four questions twice a week. 2 exams&1 group paper KNOW HOW TO CITE APA!

Professor talks way too much. A couple test in the beginning of the class but then its all speeches. Grades easy on the speeches but tough on citations. Is somewhat rude but does allow to turn in speech outlines early for her to offer feedback. Not an exciting class but attendance does play a big part of your grade. Not the best but not the wort.

Worst teacher i have ever had. Rude, disrespectful and never listened. She would attack me in the middle of my speech just to hear herself talk. Class is mandatory even though she never lectures, tests have nothing to do with the class. just don't take her, shes horrible.

DR. Maday, was overall ok, not one of my favorites, but not the best either. I took her com 225 session A. Went buy fast but i think there was 4 of 5 speeches in total. I was a horrible speech giver and i got a B. shes strict on citations, but it was an overall OK. you will survive

She wont answer questions,She likes to make fun of students and ignore them if they come to her with a problem.She changes what she wants in a paper on a daily bases if you do as she asks you will still fail because it had too much from the book if you don't use the book in every line however you also fail.I don't know how she got cert to teach.

Professor Maday would be a really good judge on American Idol. She doesn't work with you on improving your speech. Her speeches all have to be one way if you don't she'll grade hard. Also no problem calling you out while class laughs. Overall Focus mostly on what not to do verses what works.

Attendance is Mandatory! Miss one class and your grade will drop. She is forever changing requirements on projects (sometimes the same day the project is due). She never notifies students of the changes, just posts them in sylb. She makes this class far more difficult than it should be. She is one of the most homo-phobic teachers I have ever had

Dr.Maday is a good professor. It is literally impossible to not do well in her class. The class is easy and organized. The book is needed for the tests. Attendance is important to recieve a high grade. Overall good class.

This teacher does not help you in any way you need. I asked her for help repeatedly through email and in class and she was not helpful either way. You always have to go to class or your missing points. She is very vague and is always changing the requirements for projects. I would NOT take her!! Take another teacher if available!!
