Comment:

I will say that Stephen was a very smart professor, but he was also a very rude one. He definitely chose favorites in his class, he was extremely stern about students being punctual. If a student was literally 1 min late, he'd lock them out. He'd yell at people, and demean them. It was near impossible to pass his class. Thank god he was fired.

Stephen was a very demanding and thorough professor. It is tough to recommend such a difficult class, but it had its perks - he told you everything you needed to know in lecture; there was no textbook. But you had to keep a detailed notebook. And he got kicked out halfway through.

Great teacher. Reading the text book can be helpful, but not mandatory. Make sure you are ON TIME for class, or he will not let you in. Easy A if you apply yourself and keep up with your notebook. Work on your notebook every day, or you will fall behind quickly.

What happend with Stephen this semester? I heard he got fired for hitting a student? is there any truth to this? I know he is passionate about teaching but I'm not sure I could see him doing this...unless you tried coming in late possibly.

He is very educated with his art history, but it can come across one side, so " consider the source"- but he's the professor, not you. He does need to learn to take responsiblity for his own actions, he does care about his students, school is his life, and I woulnd't know what he would do without it. He's passionate. Stephen can be over the top.

I loved this class. A true mix of Art and History. Stephen is very knowledgeable and passionate about what teaches. He is very clear about the rules in the class and expects students to abide by them. He came in early several times to give help prior to tests. I never saw or heard anything inappropriate in class.Great class!

Steven does not come close 2 living up 2 the standards he expects from his students. He treats people like they are beneath him! He is a proud, lazy, sad, rude man! If you want to enjoy your semester do NOT take him. His behavior around students is extremely inappropriate. He openly talks crap behind the backs of fellow art professors and students.

Stephen Knight does know a lot about art history. He loves it and he wants you to also. Stephen does gossip about students and teachers. I study and think I am going to do better than I end up doing. He doesn't do any grading outside of school it seems, but he's at school a lot. If you have strong opinions, your personalities will clash.

stephen knight is not mature enough to be teaching. he shares information with his students that is innappropriate and talks behinds teachers' and students' backs all the time. he is the only teacher that can get away with yelling at students. do not take him if you want to have fun with art

Stephen can grade extremely difficult. With that said, everyone has their own opinions so if you do not agree with Stephen's opinions then don't take his classes. Otherwise, this IS college and you have to be open in learning new things in new ways that you are not used to. He is a very interesting teacher and knows what he is talking about!!

He is a very nice and enjoyable teacher if you get to know him! Many students don't realize that this is college and you have to work hard to get an A. This is definitely true for his class, but he makes art history extremely interesting even if you aren't an art major. If you can, take it from him but be prepared to work hard for your grade! =)
