Comment:

Ms. Magrini is a very nice teacher, she has the best intentions. However, her class is excruciatingly unclear and unorganized. Her tests are very in-depth. She will only release study guides a couple days before tests, there are old ones on canvas I would suggest taking notes on these study guides instead of writing down her scattered lesson plans.

LITERALLY THE WORST TEACHER IN THE ENTIRE PLANET. Does not respond to emails and is utterly useless as a human being much less an instructor of college students. I regret every minute of her class. Being in her class jacks my blood pressure up since she talks about nothing. I have completed entire assignments for other classes while waiting for her

Horrible teacher. She likes to drone on about things that aren't pertinent to the class. I am a biology major, but I can't stand one minute of this 3 hour class. I detest her manner of instruction. For her tests, she likes to quiz on things that she didn't manage to cover in the ridiculously long class. Not to mention, she's always running behind.

Uses a canned curriculum from the publisher, but then forgets to cover many of the points that appear on the exam. Typical public college type: just goes through the motions and will give tests on material that was not in the reading or discussed in class. She will wreck your GPA. If you do not need this course don't take Microbiology at Western

Magrini is a very nice women, and you can tell she tries. However, she isn't the best teacher. Lecture is boring and goes on forever. She repeats things a dozen times, and goes in circles. Fell behind in class material quickly. Test are insanely in depth and hard. I wouldn't recommend, but I wouldn't tell anyone to avoid completely either.

Honestly, I loved her for the first while. Then she got insanely behind. Like, 11 chapters in 5 weeks behind. Then she has us studying a 50 page packet for the final, equaling out to more than 500 flash cards. She's a sweetheart with great intentions, but her follow through is terrible. You need to study before she gets there in order to get A's..

Magrini is a very very nice woman.It is apparent that she really tries and cares. That being said, she is still a horrible teacher. Gets way behind,repeats everything 4-5 times, confuses herself and the class about date changes, Randomly hands out masses of material the class B4 your test, insanely detail oriented. Dont waste your time taking her.

You absolutely need to study to do well in this class. If you study the material that she gives you, you will do fine. Do not trust her to put accurate grades into the computer or mark attendance correctly though. Follow up with her constantly about your grade or you will be screwed. She put three different grades of mine into the computer bad.

She was an exellent teacher. yes, she takes her time however it helps you to understand the material. I received 103 points out of 100. You just need to apply yourself and read the handouts.

Nice woman but her teaching is all over the place. Rarely does she follow the book, talks entirely too much lagging waaay behind in class, tests are not consistent w/ what is studied, homework is a joke copied right out of the end of chapter questions, labs are semi-interesting. Most of the class that remains is reaching for a C despite studying.

If you can take this class from another teacher do it!She is soooo hard and her tests are almost impossible to do well on. She is a nice lady but is way too hard for even a chance of passing. Be prepared to study at least 6 hours a week. Each class she only got through about 4 powerpoint slides, each chapter has about 30 slides. moves way to slow!

Extremely nice & helpful! She LIKES her students & really wants them to do well. Instead of just dry lecture she makes class more interesting with slides, films & exhibits, makes a difficult subject easier to understand. Her exams are long, detailed & difficult but they follow her study guide handouts closely. Just study those handout guides hard!

Tends to get behing in lecture. However took her and Carman. She is much clearer and understandable. You will understand what she is teaching. Is always willing to help after class. Tests are very extensive and detailed as are her labs. If you want to understand, take her over Dr. Carman.

She is a very good teacher. Her tests are detailed, but she is helpful and clear about the material covered. I would recommend her to other students because she doesn't rush through material and she will help whenever the students need it.
