Comment:

A difficult course in its own right. Freedman did a good job keeping this class on track at the expense of her other course. The material is easy once you get it down and she's very amenable to difficult homework. Pop quizzes for extra credit all over the place. It's hard to do poorly, but it is easy to get overwhelmed.

Comment:

Her disorganization in this course was beyond anything I've ever experienced. Our midterm was the week before the final. We spent 2.5 months with no homework assignment. Lectures are all over the place and have a 50/50 chance of going over the subjects she introduces. Heart's in the right place, but her mind was with 480.

Comment:

Reva has good intentions, however, her level of disorganization is inspirational. The class was supposed to have 5 assignments, she only managed to give 3. We were supposed to have a Mid-term and she managed to put it off until 1 week before the final. Crammed everything into a very short period of time. Lectures are excruciatingly jam packed.

Comment:

Prof. Freedman is a nice teacher who cares a lot about what she does. The worst thing about her is that she tries too hard to make sure the class is different every year which can cause delay in when homework is assigned, and it can cause some assignments to be significantly harder than others.

Comment:

Reva did a good job of making Java easy and enjoyable. It was her first time teaching the class and she did an amazing job of conveying relevant, useful material. Honestly one of few CSCI teachers that doesn't rehash old obsolete knowledge.

Her class doesn't use a text book, so lectures are ALL over the place, jumping from topic to topic. It was so hard to keep up & take notes because her PowerPoint contained so much material & she moved way too quickly. She would post her PowerPoints a couple days before the test & expected us to learn & remember all of the material within 48 hours.

Mrs. Freedman isn't the best a explaining in a logical manner. She jumps around a lot and will move the powerpoint slide too soon sometimes. She puts up the study guides later than she says she will which is frustrating. The study guides are key to passing the tests. Never touched the book. Overall, an easy A if you show up to get extra credit!

My experience with this class has been something else. She is all over the place and very unorganized. Her study guides are vague but the tests are fairly easy. She post all the notes online a few days before the test, but it is still a good idea to go to class because she randomly gives extra credit. Overall, I regret taking this class.

A great professor. Her online course was really well organized and all the content to be successful was there. Assignments were in spreadsheet format, so really easy to fill out and see what you did wrong. Her explanations of the power points are very insightful and interesting. One of the best online courses I have taken.

I took this course my senior year as I thought some of the topics were interesting. The way this course is presented is not something to motivate a student. They simply have you read hundreds of pages and expect you to be ready for a test with little to no review. This class could be better structured and the information presented better.

She was very unorganized but still seemed to run the class fairly well. We had to ask questions in class or she wouldn't go over certain things we needed for assignments but when that happened she did make sure that everyone knew the material before moving on. Worst prof. ever!Irratating! Not meant to teach. She is my worst experience at this school. She never stops talking! She doesn't know to conserve her words. Cannot write on the board: she is short, left-handed, and has a bad arm.Her appearance is disrespectful to students who pay to be there. In a dif. job, she would have to change her apperance.

This teacher was absolutely not helpful at all. At first she just seems a bit un-organized...But once the assignments become diffucult she gets worse and worse every week with her clarity of instructions. She seems like she knows alot about the material....but CANNOT teach it to others very well. I RECOMMEND NO TAKING THIS COURSE WITH HER!!!
