Dr. Kline is an amazing and a very knowledgeable prof. You will definitely learn a lot in this class, but you really need to pay attention in every class and structure your studying intelligently. As someone else said, he was also my prof for my honour class. I def. feel well-prepared in my Master's right now, and he has a lot to do with that.

The best at Concordia! If you can, take him. He speaks well, communicates the course material very well. Explains everything to you if you ask. You just need to attend EVERY single class because he does not post slides. You need to write everything he says down and do the readings, they are mandatory. All that said, doing well is VERY possible.

The best teacher at Concordia by far! Knows his stuff and is enthusiastic about teaching. Will answer any question you may have either in class or outside. A wonderful professor who cares. Tough material but doing well is possible. Do the readings, go to every lecture as slides are not avail. and take good notes. Loved Psychometrics!

I loved Dr Kline's class! He is extremely knowledgeable, kind, well-spoken, and interesting. He teaches the material well, and tells you exactly what you should know for his exams. The course is a lot of work, and you definitely must attend all lectures as well as read a lot of material, but it's well worth it. So far, one of my favs!

I really liked him. His class was very interesting, but he really makes you work for your grade. You can't skip class, because he doesn't post anything online or give out notes.

Probably one of the best teachers I've ever had. I had him for psychometrics and my honours thesis class, and although the material is demanding he teaches very valuable lessons that you don't always get in stats classes or any other class. I'm doing my masters now and I am ahead of the game because of him. If you want to learn, take his class.

Do NOT skip classes. His lectures are really heavy and he does not provide notes, so you have to take notes of everything he says. He does not provide clear criteria for his exams: he gives you essay questions to prepare in advance, but doesn't tell you exactly what he wants, so remember everything and prepare your answers in advance! As in any subject area, you learn exponentially more from the giants of the field. Dr. Kline is a giant in modern statistics. To be good in this subject takes really hard work. If you're not good with numbers, take a prep course. Given how badly statistics are misinterpreted by students AND researchers, his classes should be even harder.

Only for motivated students! What I have learned from taking his class really changed my way of perceiving every aspect of research. Not everyone would agree with his out-of-the-box ideas, but he really backs everything up with solid arguments. Now I can't even listen to someone making a crazy claim about stats without thinking about Dr. Kline!

This is a VERY difficult class. Here is a bit of information about his exams. You have 5 chapters(approx. 45 pages each) and class material (he does not provide notes) to MEMORIZE, and the exam is 5 essay questions, and you have 1hour15min. If you write down EVERYTHING there is to know about the topics, and make links between everything, expect a B

I did not at all enjoy his class, and actually dreaded going. (I had previously dropped 2 classes because he was the professor, but this one was mandatory and he was the only one teaching it). He taught useless statistic that most of the students were not ever going to use. And he would not compromise anything when we would make suggestions to chan

he is very fascinating. firstly, he is quite brilliant. anyone who writes a book on statistics must be! he knows what he is talking about and is able to translate it to his students. he is a very demanding professor, as he should be. he expects a lot and gives a lot as well. you have to work hard in his class buts its worth it. i promise.

Very clear and knowledgable professor, who presents material in an interesting and organized fashion. I learned more in his class than in several other undergraduate psychology classes combined. His course was challenging, required organization, sustained attention, critical thinking and writing skills, as any university-level course should.

I worked harder for this class ALONE and than for my other 7 classes i took that year. Unreasonable grading scheme; for what merits an A he'll give a C+, maybe. There is no point to his ridiculous demands, I just came out of the course frustrated and angry. LOWER YOUR EXPECTATIONS, SIR. Avoid at all costs, be WARNED, and take another teacher!!!

Avoid at all costs! Might be THE worst teacher in psych at concordia, by far. No one likes him. He always focuses on statistics even when the class has nothing to do with statistics! Useless and very difficult assignments. Very biased and grades unfairly. Please, if you want to do well, do not take him!

one of the hardest teachers i've ever taken. his "quizzes" are 70 minutes all you can write on 6 chapters (in the 2 unrelated books you have to read) and he makes you write super small. his paper is impossible, take him if you have a small course load and love the subject, but he makes it so boring. i would never take him again.

I really enjoyed having him as a teacher, really interesting, clear, helpful BUT really demanding, hard marker. He is expecting a lot from his students but he is also giving a lot. If you don't want to work and study you should not take him, but if you wanna learn and have a teacher who knows what he's talking about you should definitely take him
