This professor is awesome,her class is so interesting,the only thing I would recommend is reading the chapter before class, taking good notes in class, and practicing the questions she posts. She gives online quizzes you can do at home, open note (use the slides and look up the info) and 3 test all non cumulative. When asking questions be direct.

SHE TALKS TOOO FAST!!!! I lived off her lec capture notes it SAVED us all. Lots of info but interesting. Exams way too long for the time given. Hand hurts from writing. Exams nothing like lec , more like study guide. 3 exams, 6 quizzes, no final. Curves heavily (or we'll all fail) gives ex cred. Hard class but very good prof nice, helpful, smart.

I don't know how I got a B in this class. She lectures very fast and tries to tell you to what will be on the exam but ends up being totally different. Overall, a nice professor and knows the material well, I just wish she would explain it slowly and help you more. Class was 3 exams and quizzes, based on points. No final! Curves at the end.

honest rating! medh is very nice & her lectures are very clear and her class has lecture capture. has a sign in sheet for class. never used the book. she tells you exactly what you need to know for the exams in her slides. four quizzes, three exams, no final. offers some extra credit. class is based on points so get as much as you can.

By far my favorite class at CSUN. It's a GE class about stem cells and I learned SO much. I was so interested in the class and Dr. Medh made it so much more interesting. I'm a biology major so it was really, really easy. Ended up with a 99% in the class.. 2 midterms, 1 final, 2 papers, 1 presentation. REALLY RECOMMEND!! :]

This class was easy yet interesting. It's a stem cell class for GE , so anybody can take.She breaks down into easy compoonents. Of course if you are bio major, you will have easier time to do on this class. Highly recommend her class to others.

I honestly loved Dr Medh. She is extremely nice and goes above and beyond to try to make students truly understand the concepts. Lectures are kind of boring though, so best to record them for later. There are quizzes every 2 weeks, which are really simple. 2 midterms and 1 final. Exams are really long but if you practice you can finish on time.

Dr. Medh is without a doubt the best genetics professor on campus. She gives two midterms, both of which are extremely generous. She puts 18 multiple choice questions and grades you on a max of 15...so you can theoretically get 3 wrong and still receive full credit. She's clear, fair, and I had zero interest in genetics. So far, getting an "A".

Composed of two tests only. First one being hardest (lots of material). This class is interesting and with real life examples, genetics made more sense with more details. She is always willing to help and very approachable. Although she can be confusing sometimes, overall, she is not hard to follow.

I thought her powerpoint slides were helpful. She posts them on the website. If you print them out before lectures and write your notes on them, they will help you a LOT for the tests. I really only used the textbook as a supplement, but do the problems in the book for practice. Quizzes were easy and helpful (keeps you from falling behind).

oh god!! i thought i failed in this class!! however, she helped out so much for the final test in the class. if you go to class everyday, then you will get lots of sources for the test!! please, take her. i end up with B grade! i am not a smart student, however i tried. she is great lecture professor. don't hesitate to take this class! come on!

She knows her genetics very well, and even though she has an accent she still explains the material very well. She uses power points, there is no homework, two modterms, one final and one research paper, she also gives out quizes which aren't that hard if you pay attention in class. I got a B+ and I never really read the book, just lecture notes.

I took her for regular genetics too n she was kool for tht but for this class...just avoid!!! book is stupid...she cant really xplain either which is kinda strange coz she knows her stuff n in her Genetics she xplained well...but in the end she ended up curving n passin a lotta pepl...but not a class to take for sure!!!

I found her lectures extremely boring and her exams really hard. You have so much information to learn and it's really hard to understand if you don't pay attention to her every word right away. It's really hard to understand her heavy Indian accent but she can be very helpful when you need her help one on one.

Bad lecturer, cant explain worth a damn. Half the class doesnt show up since she tends to make interesting lectures boring and hard. Bad accent. Also, if she gives extra credit on exams, it's not worth it cause exams are very long & it's hard to finish on time. Don't take her if you have any other possibility. FYI: Robbins is the Best!
