He is overzealous to the point where I kind of feel like he thinks we're in kindergarten, but other than that he's a great professor. Though he never scheduled office hours so...

Class lecture was okay but moved incredibly slowly. Plus side is there is hardly any work during the semester,but tests are way too hard and ask questions that have little to do with the major course material or even geologic themes. Labs were also graded much harder than I feel they should have been even through concepts in them were basic.

He is a very nice guy but the class could have been better organized. The quizzes can be confusing because they do not always reflect what you learn in class and are usually too easy. He loves what he talks about though. And despite being boring sometimes its interesting. It is not as easy as people say though!!

I'm not a geology student, so we don't see eye-to-eye, but he has never let that come into play. He is a good teacher who knows his stuff but gets a bit opinionated - you'll know when - but he never tries to force it on you.

A very clear and articulate lecturer, and he knows his stuff. Made the subject about as interesting as it could be. A really reasonable guy, he's fair to more than fair about partial credit on exams. Could be a little more accessible for extra help, but it's also up to us to care.
