Lectures were somewhat vague and ambiguous. Tests were not too difficult, but papers were graded very harshly. Two or three grammatical errors will bump you down by half of a letter grade. A little rediculous.

Lectures are quite entertaining and subject matter is timely and mostly interesting. The problem is that written assignments are graded very, very rigorously and suffer when written from a point of view different than the professor's.

I absolutely loved him. It was my first class ever my Freshman year, and it was great to have such an understanding prof. He's intellegent and so fun to talk to - you can talk to him for hours before you realize you should have been going to your other class a long time ago! Ppl say he sucks as a prof. Those ppl must be lazy and very unfriendly.

The description of the class was totally misleading. He is not the greatest teacher. He will take journal assignments and rip them apart because of opinions. The class isn't very exciting.

Between taking this class and being thrown into a pit of poisonous snakes, I'd take the snakes. He never seems to know anything about Geography and is way too distracted by small noises and things that happen during class.
