He literally wrote the book! The class was laid out clearly and I enjoyed it. I took it during spring so I don't think we got as far as a normal class would but I had no real prior experience with piano and I did really well by just practicing a few extra hours a week outside class.

This class was fairly easy for me since I had some prior piano experience, but the class weighed heavily on basic theory and fundamentals. If you're new to piano and just put in a 2 hours a week outside of class you shouldn't have a problem. Professor Anderson is very helpful and caring, you just have to initiate the conversation.

Doc. Anderson was great. He was very fair and a kind grader. He was very willing to help and make sure that the class understood everything. You have put work into it though.

Professor Anderson had great stories to tell, but the exams were just too hard for a Book of Mormon class. He also made many spelling errors if that bothers you at all. I did learn a lot from him though and my scripture are now all marked up with great cross references and definitions.

I came into this Theory class knowing NOTHING about it. I was even confused about where the notes were. I studied hard on my own to learn that part, and Dr. Anderson was very very helpful with the rest. AND he's very merciful. When the entire class wrote a chord progression in the wrong key, he didn't deduct full points on that test. I LOVE HIM!
