Mr. Barton is one of the nicest professors you will ever run across. He sets aside lab hours so that you can seek his help. His lectures are sometimes a little dull, but it has more to do with the material. He grades on a CURVE, which is amazing for students who actually do the work.

Mr. Barton is very passionate about Excel and it shows! I am learning so many great tips and helps to make my life easier. I also pass these things on to others. The puppy project is super easy. Don't fall behind or you'll be running like crazy to catch up but it is easy to stay ahead.

Prof Barton is intelligent and the most civilized among many CIS-13 instructors.It was a shame I couldn't add to his class,but I found yet another hidden treasure at Compton College.His name is Prof Sahebjame.He is highly rated at Long Beach University.He is very intelligent,sincere, extremely helpful, explains until you get it,He is worth driving

boring subject but he tries to make it interesting.easy.takes off 10 points for every absence, unless you email him before class.use the book EVERY day.His tests are MC and kind of hard,but don't let that stop you b/c he's an easy grader.his lab ASSISTANT is more strict than he is.Good luck!(you don't really need it)

The assignments from the text were straightforward but the outside assignments were tricky.The "Puppy" assignments became especially dificult.He does expect you to show finished work the week it is due or will not give you credit.The class will adequately raise your ability with MS Excel.His tests are T/F and can be a little tricky.

hes super nice and helpful, always there to answer questions. lab book is used everyday but labs are draggy and boring but youll get used to it. other then that just take notes during his lectures, study for the tests and youll be fine. he also grades on a curve. totally recommended!

He is great teacher. I had his class CIS13 for 08 summer. Lab was clear and fun. Test for Lab was fun,too. Lecture test was okay. Some of them came from book and the others more like basic or common computer information. He is great expect the attendance was strick due to the short summer season.

Nice guy,something kooky about him though lol.The computer history lectures are a little rough even for a bona fide computer nerd like me.He is HIGHLY technical but doesn't hold you to it on the tests.He trys to trick you on the T/F test so read carefully.The lab part is easy if you do it at home but you need XP or Vista.Just buy lab book,not text.

this class is easy. lab assignments are easy..but the exam tests with 120 t/f isnteasy..because you would have to study from the book to know the answers..as his lectures arent informative. starting summer and on..students will get new textbook and learn windows vista so i wouldnt know how easy the class would be then

Good teacher.Tests r 120 t/f questions.Lecture in the beginning, then lab assignments on Word, excel,access,& publisher.I STRONGLY recommend doing these assignments at home than in lab class,cuz each assignment takes about 2 hrs 2 do & u get only 1hr25min 2 do it in lab class, so if u dont finish u wont get points..period.Do the work,a B is easy.

I made the mistake of taking the class early in the morning. Found that no matter how hard I tried I couldnt get myself out of bed. I ended up getting a C in the class when I couldve gotten an easy A. I only went to 3 lectures & 5 labs the entire semester, but I knew a bit about computers already. I shouldn't even have passed.

Very easy teacher, test are all true/false and his project are all done in class u can do it at home and come to class late if u want. Lecture are a bit boring though, rarely let u out early, must be at all lecture or u lose point, and he grade test on curve, beside that class fairly easy.
