Prof Becker expects you to do your work but is understanding and willing to give extensions as long as it is not last minute. This class is not a give me but you can do well as long as you can keep up. Once you get into the flow of things it is not terrible. Read and study the night before a quiz/exams and you should make an A.

Class was very interesting and informative. You do have to do a lot of reading, but that comes with this subject. The professor was very instructive in what to expect and do for the class. If you are unsure you can usually find it in the syllabus or course module. Use the online quizzes to help study for quizzes and tests.

Prof. Becker is probably one of the most understanding teachers Ive ever had. He gives great feedback and takes care to respond to emails and questions in a day or less. This class requires a lot of attention to the little details in the text and you have to take notes. If you fall behind or have troubles dont hesitate to ask! Hes very helpful!

BEST professor I have ever taken at Lone Star. His lectures are very interesting and funny. There is one quiz per chapter in the textbook. They are online and he lets you use your textbook and the internet and you also get to take it 2 times (The highest score is your final grade). The tests are exactly like the quizzes and he gives out reviews.

Professor Becker expects you to do your work but has grace. He once pushed back a due date because a student had to work double shifts on the weekend it was due. He won't let plain laziness slide, though; don't try to come up with lazy excuses. Just do your work and don't pretend to know more than you do.

Professor Becker is one of the most kind and humble teachers I have come in contact with. He actually cares about if you learn the material. Some of the test questions do come from lectures but a majority come from the 20min quizzes with 20 questions each. Be prepared to read, but also know he's willing to help you learn.

My computer messed up and he allowed me time to get it fixed. He gives 16 quizzes which are all 20 questions and 20 minutes to complete, therefore you have to be sure to read the chapters. There were 4 exams, a 7 page paper including title page and works cited, a 2 part final , and 14 discussion questions. Allows make-up work during the last week.

Mr. Becker's tests are about 100 questions each, the majority of them also having essay questions. He will not give extra credit. Attendance and participation is 15% of your grade! Every book chapter has two difficult and particular online quizzes to go with it and the best score counts. The amount of material expected to know is a whole lot.

Professor Becker is the best there is! I have taken him for two semesters & will be continuing to take him as long as I can! He is a great teacher and keeps things interesting. He is laid back, easy grader, tells good stories, and believes in all of his students. Attendance is necessary and as long as you read chapters and take quizzes, youll pass!

I read all these reviews and decided to take him but they failed to mention how his quizzes and tests were. 20 question quizzes 20 minutes, 100 question tests 100 minutes. If you take longer than expected during tests and quizzes do no take him. Many fill in the blank questions !! Just Crazy and frustrating guessing how he wants them worded.

Oh man, what could anyone say bad about Becker? He's inspirational and that speaks highly because I never met him in person. He is there for his students and answers emails and discussion posts immediately. He is the best Criminal Justice teacher in the Lonestar system. Bravo Becker! You're amazing!

This was a great online course. You must read the chapters and if you do it will be an easy a! I did some quizzes at the last minute using google and made either a high c or low b, however every time I skimmed through the chapter I made an a! Remember to use correct margins on your paper not MLA and you can make a 100! I'm taking him again in fall!

Took his corrections and systems class online fall 2011. He heavily uses the text book. There is a 5-8 page research paper and gives you plenty of time to turn it in. He is a good professor and totally recommend him. Be sure to read all of his instructions before you contact him and you will be on his good side!

Kind of funny online. Use the book! You learn a lot of interesting facts and have only one paper, but it's about movies that relate to criminal justice. Do the discussions and the quizzes and you should be fine. Test questions are mostly reused quiz questions
